says his goodbyes and makes his way to the valet as Blake and I walk to the waiting town car.
“I’m sorry about my little brother,” Blake apologizes once we’re seated in the car. “He can be a bit cocky at times.”
“Hmm, seems to be a family trait,” I say jokingly, making him laugh.
“Perhaps so, but you should stay away from Jon. He’s bad news. I’m serious.” I look into his eyes and realize this is beyond a sibling rivalry. I wonder what the issue is there.
“If he is bad news then why do you do business with him?”
“He is bad news to women.” His eyes telling me not to push the subject. I simply nod and turn to stare out of the window. “How do you feel about frozen yogurt?”
“Fucking love it!” I respond a little too excitedly, and he laughs at me again.
“I noticed you had no dessert. Let me treat you to the best frozen yogurt in the city.” I smile and nod as the car heads deeper into the city.
We arrive at a quaint little street in the middle of the city, one I have never been to before, which is odd. Telling me to wait yet again, he walks to my door to open it. Such a sweet gesture. He assists me from the car and doesn’t let it go of my hand as we make our way into the dessert shop. As we walk inside, his grip tightens, informing me he does not intend to let go of my hand. With a smile on my face, we walk into the dessert shop aptly named Frozen Desserts.
“I found this little gem one day when I went for a run. I was way off track and had a random craving for something sweet .” His sensual tone and sexy smile causes me to blush. Could he be thinking about me? “So I saw this place and came in. The owner happened to be in the shop and told me she had the greatest frozen yogurt in town. I took her up on her challenge and have found myself coming back once a week ever since. Frozen yogurt is my weakness.” He shrugs at his admission. At the counter, we go over the flavors before ordering. Chocolate vanilla swirl for him and cake batter for me. The employee happily gets us our dessert. Blake grabs the two bowls and we head for the table in the corner of the small shop and make ourselves comfortable.
“I also have a weakness for froyo; it’s my guilty pleasure” I admit as I dig into my frozen treat. My gosh, it is delicious. I can’t help but moan my delight. Blake stares at me intensely.
“I take it you like it. What is froyo?” he asks.
I laugh, “Froyo is short for frozen yogurt, and yes, it’s absolutely delectable.” I blush, remembering too late how he used that word to describe the taste of me. He smirks at me.
“I know what you’re thinking, Angelica, and yes, you are delectable. I hope I get to taste your sweetness again soon.”
“Blake! Have you no shame? We are in the middle of a dessert shop.” I admonish in a whisper, but he just grins at me. I can’t keep the smile off my lips as we sit in comfortable silence eating our dessert.
“If I eat any more, I’ll explode. Roger and I will have to get an extra mile in for this one,” I announce, making him laugh.
“Perhaps I can meet up with the two of you and burn off my bowl too?” he suggests.
“Hmmm, perhaps, although last time you ran near me, you plowed me over,” I remind him.
“That did in fact happen. The more I think about it, the more I believe it was sheer force that caused me to crash into the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on.” Blake confesses. I stare at him in bewilderment; this is getting too deep for me.
“Well, you aren’t so bad on the eyes either,” I jokingly say to him.
“Gee, thanks,” he replies dryly, causing us both to laugh.
It feels good to have this friendly banter and conversation with Blake. Oddly, it feels comforting, almost as though I want more of it. That’s strange coming from me. I don’t do relationships. I love sex, and I’ll fuck you until I’m over you, but I won’t be your girlfriend. But with Blake, I almost want to be
