in place, keep silent, and hope the other two agents didn’t lose their lives because of Sampson’s big mouth.
Unaware of all the details, Jake understood why he’d been placed. He looked younger than his thirty-five years and had been seemingly successful out west in a similar undercover role. In spite of his former geeky life, the feds had dolled him up the way biker chicks liked their men. By the time he’d assumed the role of a Heroes and Rogues’ prospect, he’d been a playboy, primed and ready to take his spot in the wild and free world known as biker territory.
The broads often called Jake a womanizer. He’d never quite understood that one. Since snatching his H&R patch, he hadn’t dated. He’d never asked a woman out. Women complicated the job yet here he was—about to be played by someone who knew how to play the game when she was playing for keeps.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t a keeper. He wasn’t much more than someone’s one-night stand.
He turned the corner with wine glasses in hand. “You’re full of surprises.”
“You say that like it’s a bad thing.” She kept her head still, but he could see the little dimples surrounding her lips.
“Oh it is,” he assured her, pulling up a chair and sitting down to the best of meals. He dragged his fingers down her torso, careful to keep his touch on the lower, rather than the upper part of her body. He followed her curves, loving the feel of her soft and delicate skin.
    “I thought you were hungry.”
    “Famished.”
    “Then eat.”
“Where do you want me to start?” He stared at those voluptuous breasts. “Here?” He scooted closer and lowered his head. He licked the rice around the dragon roll topping her nipple. “Or how about here?” He cupped her other breast, lifting the heavy mound to his mouth before plucking the food from the high peak.
Around a mouthful, he said, “Um. Now this is what I call five-star dining.” Only he wasn’t sure he was talking about the sushi. Her skin had brushed against his lips and while he’d eaten in his share of fancy establishments, he couldn’t think of a time when he’d sat down to a finer assortment of beautifully displayed foods.
He walked to the end of the table, noting her still, parted legs. Pushing his hand under her bottom, he lifted her slightly away from the table. Staring at her pussy, he whispered, “Now that’s my kind of serving dish.”
“Believe it or not, it’s not easy to just lie here.”
“I’m sure that’s true.” He grinned. “And I appreciate everything you’ve done to pull this meal off without a hitch. This is one dinner I’ll never forget.” He slowly dragged his gaze back up the length of her body. She’d gone to a lot of trouble. She’d even had one of her father’s dutiful soldiers help her prepare the perfect setup.
“The least you could do is show your appreciation.” Plenty of play existed in her voice.
“Honey, I plan to do just that. And when we’re done here, I’ll be the perfect dinner guest and go as far as cleaning up the mess I make.”
“The cleanup sounds like more fun than the dinner party.”
“You never know,” he said, cupping her bottom and slipping his middle finger between her cheeks in an effort to taunt her.
A muted moan fell from her lips and she squeezed her eyes closed. Afraid he might mess up her display, he slowly released her, allowing her to relax against the table again.
He reclaimed his original seat and dipped his head. Sucking the nipple he’d already used for a side dish, he whispered, “You’re tantalizing to the tongue, tempting to the man.”
Autumn trembled. “If you only knew what I had in store for dessert, you’d wolf down the sushi and head straight for the chocolate.”
“Hmm,” he said, taking his time, circling her aroused nipple with his wet mouth.
    “Seriously.” She shivered.
“Don’t rush me.” He plucked another roll from her belly. He pushed half between his lips and fed
