quickly this morning. She pulls her car into the designated spot at the daycare before she reaches for her phone.
Emerson – Me too.  See you in a few.
She can’t help but smile seeing the text, maybe he feels like she does.  That maybe this could potentially be more than what any of them have thought.

Walking into the airport, Emerson glances around as he looks for Kimberly.  He spots a brown-headed woman standing a few feet in front of him.  He automatically searches more because there is no way the woman in the skin tight jeans and form-fitting sweater can be Kimberly. She turns, sensing a presence watching her and smiles when she catches Emerson’s eyes.  Holy Shit.  He looks her over and walks up to the woman.
“Mallory?” He questions, knowing the woman possibly can’t be standing here.  He was just starting to get over her.
    “Emerson. How are you?”
Well fuck, it was her.  “I’m good, just going out of town for business,” he stands there, running his fingers through his hair nervously.  “How are you?”
“I’m doing well.  I got married a few weeks ago.”
    “Oh, that’s amazing. Congratulations.”
“Emerson?”  He hears from behind him.  He turns to look at Kimberly walking toward him.
“Hey beautiful.” He leans in and kisses her forehead, smiling at her.  “Mallory, this is Kimberly.  Kimberly, meet Mallory.”
“Nice to meet you,” Kimberly says, sticking her hand out to shake Mallory’s hand.
“Likewise,” she responds, basically ignoring her hand.  “Well, I must be going.  I’m glad you’re doing well Emerson.  Tell Jonathon I said hello.”
    “Sure.”
Kimberly stares between the two, wondering if this could be someone who shared the guys as well.  She looks up at Emerson to see the longing in his eyes, but there is something else there.  She can’t quite put her finger on it before he turns to her with a smile.
    “Who was that?”
    “Mallory?”
    “Emerson…”
“She’s an ex-girlfriend. I’d rather not discuss it with you.”
    “Well, I’d rather hear it.”
“Not today Kimberly.”  He says exasperated.
“Then maybe I should just stay home. You can think about Mallory over the weekend.” She huffs out. Why she is letting this get under her skin, she has no clue. But, she can’t seem to help it. She’s fallen for them.
He sighs before looking at her.  “Kimberly, I am not ready to talk about it.”
“Fine, I’m not ready to go.”
“She doesn’t have an agreement with me. Either you come, or you’re going to jail.”
“Fuck you, Emerson.”  She turns to walk out of the airport.  She’d rather go to jail than to spend one more second with his infuriating ass.  She gasps as an arm goes around her bicep and turns her around.  The fire in his eyes is almost enough to singe her eyebrows.
“I plan on that, Kimberly. Please don’t let my past ruin the future. When I’m ready I’ll talk, but I’m not yet.”
“Keep holding me owing you over my fucking head and there will be no future.  I may owe you, but I’m still a fucking human being.”
“I like this potty mouth you’ve seemed to develop.” He smirks, leaning down to kiss her forehead.
    “Let go of me.”
Emerson sighs as he drops her arm before grabbing their bags. Leading the way to the terminal, he can’t help but smile.  He never intended to develop feelings for her, but with her firecracker tendencies, she may just be his kryptonite. He smiles to himself, watching as she stomps down the hallway of the airport, with every step she takes, her ass sways.  He shakes his head to clear it from the thoughts of his cock inside her to keep from embarrassing himself in this airport.
She walks over to the chairs in their respective terminal, sitting down not so gracefully. With a huff, she blows her hair out of her face, crossing her arms in front of her chest.  What she doesn’t realize is that it gives him the exact image
