something or other began playing. Shannon forgot her last name, but it was such a timeless classic.
Cece reached out her hand, raising her eyebrows. Shannon took her hand and they stepped back out on the dance floor. Oh, damn! Shannon could hardly contain herself as Cece grabbed her gently, pulling her towards her for their first slow dance together.
A feeling like electricity coursed through Shannon's body as the two women embraced on the dance floor. She was tingling from head to toe. Her face nuzzled against Cece's neck. Her skin felt so soft and smelled so good. She about gave up all help for self control. Cece's arms felt so damned good wrapped around her shoulder and waist. Shannon let out a sigh as she felt her breathing increase. She had never felt as wonderful as she did now, wrapped in someone's arms. She knew she would never forget this song, this dance, this night. She felt so free, the way it was always meant to be. She was finally free to be who she was. She had broken the hinges off the closet door of her sexual being. She was beyond the point of no return. She prayed Cece was feeling the same.

Cece could feel herself getting extremely excited as she held Shannon close to her on the dance floor. Her hair was so soft against her cheek. And the scent of her! Oh, my God, she smelled fresher than a gentle mountain rain in Spring. Their breasts pressing against each other was almost more than she could take. She had to have this woman! It felt different being with her, like something she had never felt before. Unlike all her other encounters with women, and there had been too many to count, this felt fresh and new. There was something very special about Shannon Storm. Something very special indeed. She didn't want to blow it.
As the song ended, they broke their embrace. She and Shannon stood there, face to face, holding each other's hands. Shannon smiled at her. "That was wonderful."
Their concentration was broken when two women approached them, one with had shoulder length brown hair and was wearing a pair of glasses. "Well hello, Cece. Long time no see!"
"Professor, how have you been? And Staci, nice to see you again. I've been wanting to touch base with you regarding the poker run for the Realm Of Caring ."
"Well, would you care to join us at a table?" Jennifer asked, looking between Cece and Shannon.
    "Uh, yeah, sure-Shannon?"
"Yeah, I'll go grab our beers."
Staci, Jennifer and Cece made their way to a table.
"New love interest?" Jennifer asked Cece.
    "Yeah. She's great, isn't she?"
"You look smitten. Sounds serious," Jennifer said.
    "I hope so," Cece smiled.
Shannon brought their beer over to the table.
"I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce everybody," Cece said. "Jennifer, Staci, I would like you to meet my date, Shannon Storm. Shannon, this is Jennifer Holloway and her girlfriend, Staci Walker. Staci is the woman I was telling you about that works for Realm Of Caring , in Boulder. Jennifer lives in Boulder, and teaches at the University Of Colorado. Shannon lives in Boulder, too."
"Great to meet you," Jennifer said, offering her hand.
    "Same here," said Staci.
"So are you two out kicking up your heels tonight?" Cece asked.
"It's been awhile since we've been here. We needed to see if the place changed any," Jennifer said.
"And...?" Cece asked, taking a drink from her bottle of Coors."
"Not really-which is great!" Jennifer said.
Arlene came over to take their drink order. Jennifer and Staci opted for a couple of Peach Bellini's.
"How 'bout the two of you? Can I get you another Coors?"
"Sounds good, Arlene. Thanks," Cece said.
The four of them sat there talking awhile and dancing some more. Soon it was time for everybody to head back to Boulder.

    ***

The drive back was filled with pleasant conversation and smiles. By the time they arrived back at Shannon's place it was almost eleven o'clock.
"I enjoyed our evening, Shannon," Cece smiled after pulling the F-150 into the
