which was trying to poke out of his trousers. What an idiot, he thought to himself. He was semi-erect throughout dinner, and now it was so hard it hurt just from kissing her. If she hadn’t been so blissfully unaware of her appeal, she might not have affected him so much. But when she let a moan escape he nearly lost it, and not in a good way. He was sure that could have been very embarrassing.
“So, this club, is it very big?” Regan said, breaking the silence. “Honey, I don’t think big covers it!” Damon winked.
Regan coughed, alerting to the fact she was no longer thinking about the size of the club, and Damon laughed, just watching her face turn various shades of red. This was fun.
“Sorry, I got distracted,” Regan admitted and tried to look out the window.
    “If you say so.”
Minutes passed by as Damon drove. Regan was avoiding eye contact with him, and he had to smile about that. She was just adorable.
“So this woman, what’s her name, anyway? I forgot, but it seemed so silly when I sent the flowers.” Regan finally spoke again.
Damon rolled his eyes and chuckled, “Luscious Cherry.”
“Right, now I remember…it seems just as silly now.”
“Her real name is Shay Reynolds,” Damon added as he flipped on his turn signal.
“Have you met her or been around her very much? I mean, it seems like something tipped you off.”
“No, never met her. I was too pissed off when Drew told me he was in love with a stripper that I have stayed pretty scarce when she has been around. She may be an okay person, don’t know.”
Regan didn’t respond right away, and looked deep in thought. “So why the worry?” she asked, looking at him with questioning eyes.
“Look, he proposed to her in less than six months! Can a person really know another person that well in six months or fall in love at first sight?” He shook his head as he parked.
Pink neon flashed through the cab of the truck. The light thump of bass could be felt vibrating around them. The lot was packed with high-end cars and SUVs.
“I can’t really say. I wish I knew. Some believe in love at first sight, but I don’t know if that’s real or not,” Regan said while looking around.
“Do you think it’s possible?” Damon asked while he shut off the truck.
    “Maybe,” Regan said, and shrugged.
“Oh, I got you something else,” Damon said, reaching behind his seat.
“No, I don’t need you to do that for me, really,” Regan pleaded, uneasy about accepting gifts.
“You’ll thank me for this. It’s a disguise!” Damon pulled a long blonde-haired wig out of a bag. “We wouldn’t want anyone to recognize you, now would we?”
“I hadn’t given that any thought, but you’re right. I would hate to run into a customer. That might not be good for business.” She laughed. “Or it could be great for business!”
“Let’s not find out.” He paused and looked at Regan and smiled. “I really appreciate your help, but if you decide not to go through with the plan, I’ll understand.”
Regan pulled her hair back and grabbed the wig out of his hands. “Let’s go see this Luscious Cherry.”
When they walked through the door of the club, Regan looked floored. Lights twinkled and strobes flashed. The place was upscale with plush seating, various bars, and intimate coves. The bass thrummed and rippled through the air. Electric sex buzzed all around them, and scantily clad women strutted from table to table. Some were waiting tables while others worked to lure men to upstairs rooms for private lap dances and bigger money.
A main stage sat in the middle of the club while smaller stripper poles with dancers were here and there around the club. Sex was for sale everywhere without the sex. There was a no-touch policy, and for the life of him, Damon couldn’t understand why any man would put himself through the hassle. Whatever, to each their own, he thought. It wasn’t his type of place. Just then a petite brunette caught
