stubborn.”
    “Then talk to me.”
“Remember I told you about that drug ring, on the island?”
    “Yes.”
“Well, it’s also used for human trafficking.”
    “What?” I whisper.
    “Sex slaves, labor…sometimes….organs.”
I feel bile rise in my throat. “I don’t…understand.”
“They steal and sell or use women, even men, as sex slaves. Sometimes they use them for labor and other times…they use them for body parts.”
I grip my stomach, realization hitting hard and fast.
“She…she…wants me for a slave. Oh God Jagger, she wants me for a slave.”
“I think so, what I don’t know is why. You’re in danger Willow, more so than I first thought.”
    “What do we do?”
He pulls ou t his phone and dials a number, “Ace, get Angel, Rusty and Bull up here now. We have a big problem.”
He hangs up then dials another number. A moment later he begins talking. “Huck? I’m cashing in my favor. I need information.”
Huck? As in the officer who told us of my father’s death? I knew he was part of this, but I didn’t realize he owed Jagger a favor. This just keeps getting worse.
“I want information on my lovely wife; I want to know if she was in protection for the last two years.”
    Silence.
“Yeah, call me back when you know…and Huck? If you so much as breathe a word of this to anyone, I’ll slit your throat.”
Jagger hangs up the phone and my eyes widen. He stares at me for a moment.
“Sorry baby, but there are sides to me you won’t like.”
    I nod, swallowing. “I understand.”
“ I’m sorry, but this just got serious and so did I.”
“I get it Jagger; I get what you have to do.”
    “I’m sorry; I know I promised no danger…”
“You didn’t promise no danger at all, I chose this, I’m in it with you. I’m safer with you than I am with anyone else.”
He nods and when he hears the front door slam, he yanks on his clothes back on for the second time tonight.
“Get dressed and come out when you’re done.”
He walks out the door without another word. I pull on some clothes and walk out. The whole group is here, including Jenny and Ava. Jagger is standing by the coffee table and the rest are sitting down. I sit down beside Ava and she gives me a small smile.
“Ok, so we got a message from Sharleen tonight threatening Willow. She said she was going to make her a slave.”
    “Fuck,” Angel gasps.
“Holy shit, she’s working for the traffickers?”
“I think so, which means Manchez wasn’t the highest leader.”
I’m trying to process this in my mind. Manchez wasn’t the highest? Who is then?
“So someone is still trying to get something, why would they want Willow and who would it be?” Ace asks.
“I don’t know; that’s why I’m calling around for info.”
“Do you think they want the information I have?” I ask.
Jagger shakes his head. “They didn’t know you copied it, and one of Manchez’s men ended up with those co-ordinates. They wanted to make sure they weren’t in the wrong hands but like I said, they don’t know you’ve got them. It’s something else.”
“What do we do?” Rusty asks, crossing his arms. “If they want her, there has to be a reason why.”
Jagger rubs his head. “I’m workin’ on findin’ out that reason.”
“And until then, is she safe?” Jenny asks.
“No she’s not safe. One of us needs to be with her at all times.”
Ava squeezes my hand and I force a smile.
“Ok, so where does Sharleen fit in all this?” Bull asks.
“I don’t know, but she’s in it alright. She’s definitely in it.”
    “Fuckin’ bitch,” Angel mutters.
“ You don’t have to tell me twice.” Jagger growls.
His phone rings and he looks down. “I gotta take this.”
He walks out of the room and I turn to Ava and Jenny.
“Are you ok honey?” Jenny asks.
    “I’m alright, I’ll be fine.”
“You just know how to attract them, don’t you?”
    I force a hoarse laugh. “Yeah, I guess I
