things in life.
“Fuck … I’m going to come … I’m going … fuck …” he groans as I feel him tense underneath me with the power of his climax.
After he comes inside me, he pushes me off his lap, making the bed bounce as I land on it. Without looking at me, he stands up, his dick still hard and coated with his cum and my arousal, and makes his way to the bathroom.
I stare at his dark blue ceiling, trying to steady my heart and put my rambling thoughts and emotions in order. After a peculiar night filled with so many strange encounters, I’m drained. Yet I feel this sort of crazed energy pumping through my veins, keeping me awake. Walker’s behavior after the accident outside the museum was nothing but odd. He didn’t speak one word to me on the entire ride back to his apartment.
When I hear the toilet flush, I turn in the direction of the bathroom door and watch Walker shut the light off and make his way back to bed. I feel my cheeks flush as I watch him walk toward me in all his naked glory and it makes me want to fuck him again. The thought of him moving inside me as his fingertips grip my skin, crushing my bones with their ruthless power, fills me with a sick yearning for more. Always more.
“You never disappoint, Blaire. Did you see the way Arthur was staring at you? How fucking jealous he was of me?” He laughs, running a hand over his disheveled hair. “He wanted you so bad.”
I stand up and take my dress off, throwing it on the floor, and cleaning myself up. Once that’s taken care of, I get back in bed. Reaching for the white silk sheet twisted by my ankles, I pull it up to my chin, the fabric cooling my hot skin even though I’m cold on the inside. He gets under the sheets next to me, tangling our legs together. As I’m running my foot along his calves, feeling his smooth skin graze my toes, he pulls me close until my breasts touch his chest and my core grazes his soft cock.
“Is that why you started fingering me in front of your business colleagues while he watched?” I ask carelessly. The coldness inside me keeps spreading, numbing me more and more.
“That was something else. Only someone like you would let me do that in a room full of people.” I can hear the smile in his voice.
“And what kind of person am I, Walker?”
“Oh, you know what I mean …”
“No, actually I don’t. Could you please explain that to me?”
    “You know, wild and gorgeous.”
“You forgot the easy part. You forgot to add how easy I am,” I answer, surprised at how cool and detached my voice sounds.
“Blaire, baby … you know that I love everything about you. Everything about you drives me insane. From your gorgeous brown eyes to the way you—”
I yawn, beginning to feel drowsy from a deep physical and mental exhaustion. “Walker, I’m too tired. We should turn the lights off. I need to go to sleep. I have work tomorrow.”
“Take tomorrow off and spend it with me,” Walker says before planting a peck on my lips. “I’m sure they won’t miss you when they already have so many hostesses on staff.”
“I can’t. Lana’s studying for finals, and I promised Carl I’d cover for her.”
“Suit yourself.” He gives my ass a tight squeeze, then rolls away from me to sleep on his side.
As I begin to fall asleep, the usual loneliness that has been my companion for as long as I can remember takes over me, and I welcome it. It’s soothing and familiar. Every relationship I have is similar to this. Fuck, play, fuck, play, with no emotions attached to anything we do. But I’m okay with it. It’s better that way because that means there’s less of a chance of me ever getting hurt by anyone.
My last thought before falling asleep is that I’ve been with Walker for months now and he doesn’t even know the color of my eyes.

The next morning, we’re in his expensive kitchen surrounded by black marble countertops and stainless steel appliances, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee
