amazing?” It always amazed and even delighted her how a round of hot sex could
turn her ‘man of a thousand words’ speechless.
    He nodded before slowly straightening.
“That’s a few adjectives for it. Give me a second and I’ll think of some more.”
She gasped as he slowly disengaged their
bodies. She immediately missed his warmth, but he made up for it when a few
moments later he turned her and gathered her up in his arms, carrying her
easily despite her size.
“Time for a siesta, little one.” He yawned
deeply as they stepped inside the cool house. Within moments, with her opening
the doors, he gently deposited her on their bed before stepping back to kick
his deck shoes off, jerk his shirt over his head, and strip off his jeans.
By that time, she’d tossed her exercise
shorts and tank onto the floor next to the bed. As he climbed onto their
California King, she opened her arms to him, sighing as their warm, naked flesh
touched. As he pulled up the sheet over their bodies, she relaxed against him,
stifling her yawn against his chest. A siesta sounded just great.

    Zebadiah
was deep in thought as the car slowed down in front of home. Next to him on the
seat was a cardboard carton with the contents from his safety deposit box. He
was amazed they ’d managed to get everything out of the
bank before Allison had come back with her lawyers. He didn’t doubt for a
moment she’d use legal jargon to get into the now empty box.
    “We’re home.” Ethan announced unneeded.
“Need help carrying any of that in?”
He shook his head. “I think I got it. As
long as you’re not planning on making me lug it down to the pond and back
before letting me put it down, because of some ancient Japanese tradition says
I should.”
Ethan chuckled. “You Americans love your
movies. Tying pieces of meat to have the dog chase you, and now carrying a box
to some other place?” He shook his head. “Come on, let’s get this stuff in before
Davis comes looking for us.”
“Okay.” Opening the door, he stood slowly,
wincing as his knee protested. It still stiffened up when he sat for long
periods of time, or stood for that matter. Leaning in to retrieve the box, he
was just straightening and wasn’t prepared for the slamming of several car
doors behind him, or the strident voice he’d hoped to never hear again. He did
not need to see the petite red-headed dominatrix he’d been stupid enough to
agree to serve, to recognize the tone. In reaction, he dropped the box.
    “Zebadiah Pellegrino, you worthless piece
of shit, I don’t know what the hell you think you’re doing, but it’s gonna
stop.” Allision Teelen, all five foot three of her, stomped towards the car.
Unreasonable fear had him freezing as Ethan stepped between him and his former
Mistress, blocking the well-dressed woman. If one didn’t know Allison was in
the lifestyle, she’d have easily been mistaken for any other local business
owner in Napa. Her family owned several wineries, and he didn’t have a prayer
in hell of fighting their power and money in court, but he had to try.
“Ms. Teelen, you can’t be here. In fact you
cannot come within five hundred yards of Zeb because of the restraining order.
I suggest you leave before Davis is aware you’re on our property and calls the
police. It’d be shame to be tossed back into the clink as you American’s say,
after you just made bail.”
“You’re threatening me? My lawyers have
assured me that neither my slave’s restraining order nor the charges against me
will stick once I have proof of the contract we signed. Then my baby will be
coming home where he belongs.”
Zeb’s skin crawled as his mouth dried out.
He wanted to protest. He wasn’t her baby anymore. He was Steph’s Sexy, and
Nicky’s little hummingbird. He didn’t want to be her baby.
“Well, until you can provide proof of this
contract Ms. Teelen, I suggest you remove yourself from my property.” Ethan
stood
