the saddest sound.
Matt’s sky-tinted eyes locked on mine, glossy with unshed tears by the time I had finished the piece.  “What’s the matter?”
    “Marz,” he whispered.
“Yeah.  You know it?”  I rose from the bench and moved to stand across from him.
He smiled and let out a nervous laugh.  “Yeah, I know it.  I love it.”  He paused for a moment and clasped my hands, repeating, “I love it.  You should move this piano into your apartment so I can hear it every day.”
Embarrassed, I looked down at our locked fingers.  “It wouldn’t fit.”
“Let’s get an upright,” he suggested.  “I can’t imagine a day where you didn’t play for me.”
I glanced over at my mom as she wiped her own tears away.  Quickly, she recovered, blasting us with a brilliant smile.
“Well, what did you think of the movie?” she asked.
“Gelato isn’t vegan?” he asked with a short laugh.
“It’s milk and eggs, bitch,” she returned.  “Isn’t that the best movie ever ?”
Matt looked over at me as I nodded carefully.  “Yeah,” he whispered.  “Best movie ever.”

“Here, lie back,” Matt whispered.  “Just relax, okay?”
We lay on my bed, stripped of our clothing.  Matt’s fingers traced over my chest carefully as goose pimples rose to the surface.  He lowered his lips to a nipple, laving over the tip with feather-light precision before moving his hand south, his thumb circling the head of my dick.  My stomach muscles clenched involuntarily, experiencing both nervousness and excitement.
“Spread your legs and bend your knees just a little bit.”  He smacked the top of my thigh as I bent my knee.  “I said relax , Fin.  You’re not gonna like it if you don’t unwind a little.”
I blew out a long breath.  “I’m relaxed.”
Matt laughed softly.  “You’re not, but whatever.  Think about that song you played me.”  He sat up.  “Better yet, let’s play it.  Plug in my phone.”
A few seconds later, Matt had pulled up a playlist and connected to my Bluetooth speaker.  John Grant’s Marz wafted into the bedroom air.
“Okay,” he said, breathing carefully, “I’m going to say this once.  Simmer the fuck down.  You’ll like it, I promise.”
I closed my eyes and waited, following his instructions.  His fingertips brushed over the base of my dick, carefully moving south.  A single digit caressed my perineum before grazing my opening.  He didn’t push in – it just kissed the surface, sending my thoughts flying.
    “Okay… fuck,” I muttered.
“Shhh.  Stop squirming.”  Matt lifted the same finger to his lips and carefully placed it in his mouth, wetting it with his tongue.  His mouth opened playfully, letting out a chuckle as he licked it.  “You’ll like it.”  He kissed my lips softly, a wet invitation.  “Ready?”
I nodded as he moved his finger back between my legs.  He was careful and methodical, his eyes locked with mine the entire time.
    “You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah,” I whispered as he pushed in up to the knuckle.
    “You need more lubricant?”
“I don’t know,” I responded.  “Maybe.  I don’t know how it’s supposed to feel.  I’ve only done this to myself once and it was a disaster.  I wore one of those finger cot things and used Vaseline… Jesus, it burned for like a week.”
Matt laughed and removed his finger, carefully lifting open the cap of lubricant before squirting a dollop onto his fingers.  He snapped the cap back closed with his mouth.  “Okay, let’s try this again.”
It was cold for a few seconds, but it felt… good.  Matt’s finger moved softly inside of my body, carefully focused on my pleasure.  “Can you take one more?” he asked.
I nodded.  “I think so.”  Another finger pushed in as I felt my dick suddenly twitch to life.  “Oh fuck!”
    Matt smiled.  “See?  Told you.”
“Oh, God,” I murmured, craning my head into the pillow.
