they didn’t, of course, but that’s not for us to decide. If they want to try some light restraints but are too worried to tell their partner, then they could come here to fulfill that need. But, personally, I wouldn’t do that myself.”
“So you’re not seeing anybody?” My stomach flips uncomfortably as she turns her attention back to me.
“No, Bunny. If I were, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you.” The flip leaves as quickly as it came and I find myself smiling. “Are you?”
“God, no,” I snort and wave my hands in front of me. “I don’t do relationships. I’ve never met a guy I want to date.” The words come out without me even thinking about it. “Sorry, I don’t know why I told you that.” I reach for my soda and take a sip.
There’s no reaction from Butterfly at all and I don’t know whether she’s bored of me already or she’s thinking about what I said.
“What about girls?” she says, and I almost spit my soda across the table.
“What?” I wipe the liquid that’s unattractively dripping down my chin.
“Girls, Bunny. Do you like girls? You didn’t seem to mind me touching you or you touching me.”
“Yeah, but I touch my friends all the time,” I say defensively, and making an ass out of myself as I do. “I do my roommates hair for her sometimes, and I sweep her hair up from her neck. I hug her and my other friends too.” I shrug a shoulder.
“Do you feel anything when you do that?”
I see where this is going, but I can only tell the truth that I don’t get a lady boner when I do that. “No.”
She nods her head slowly, and a face comes to my mind. A beautiful heart shaped face, with hair as black as Butterfly’s, smooth skin, toned body, and lips as luscious too.
“There is one girl,” I say, and her head snaps up. “I don’t know why but I think about her a lot. She’s beautiful, but she doesn’t even know it. She’s so quiet, though. I doubt she’d ever come to a place like this. Hell, I think I terrify her most of the time.”
    “What makes you so sure?”
“Come on,” I laugh. “If you ever met her, you’d understand. She’s sweet and shy. Not like me at all, and I think that’s why she doesn’t seem to like me very much.” My pity party is starting up again, and I try to shrug it off by sipping on my drink.
“I bet she does, Bunny. I bet she likes you a lot more than you think.”
“Nah, I’m pretty sure she likes guys too.” Those words give me a sinking feeling in my stomach, and I understand them more and more the longer I sit with Butterfly. “I’m not sure anymore if I do.”
“There’s only one way to find out,” she says, and I see her raise her hand and point to somebody. “Just a thought, do you find him attractive?” Butterfly asks, and I follow the direction of her hand, and it leads to the bartender who served me.
“Well, he’s handsome, I guess, but he’s not shooting up my skirts if that’s what you mean.”
“Fidel has a good reputation for satisfying those women who choose to be with him.”
“So that automatically means I want to bend over for him too? Hey, I may have slept with my fair share of guys, but there’s only so much my vibrator can do, you know.” I drop my head back. “Shit, I don’t know why I told you that either.”
She shakes her head and pulls her lower lip in between her teeth, and I stare at it hungrily. What the fuck? I thought I might have had a tiny girl crush on Joss, you know because she’s so sweet and cute, but now this? Explore your feelings.
Yeah, that’s what I’m going to do. ‘Oh hey, Butterfly, can I make out with you, just to see if I like it?’ I don’t think that’s wise. If she’s gay, bi, or whatever, then wouldn’t that be fucking with her if I do kiss her and it turns out I don’t like girls after all?
But, fuck she’s gorgeous. I rub my chin while my head is taking my emotions on a fucking terrifying rollercoaster ride.
