I’m being an exemplary therapist so my probation will end and when it does, you’ll still be here, so it will all be worth it.” Mack started smiling shyly, then he grabbed Jay and pulled him closer. “Let’s meet the parents.”
    “No matter what she says, she can’t possibly love you as much as I do,” Jay said quietly, their foreheads touching.
    “I know,” Mack answered. “And I love you too.”
