God,
I hate that bitch. She has Eddie wrapped up around her high-class Malibu Barb
finger. She doesn’t deserve him. Not when she’s already got that billionaire
boyfriend patron Andrew for a lover. What does she have that I don’t to live
such a charmed life? I hate her. I hate her.”
I
hung up. As much as I would like to keep the phone on to follow her trail, I
could not stand that self-defeating depressed hate mojo she was spewing. I was
already in a dark depression missing Summer after all. Don’t need some whiny
ex-girlfriend of some Eddie mobster, which he seemed to be, making me feel
further depressed.
I
had memorized the last location she was in before hanging up.
Near
Aunt Sookie’s place, but not right there, somewhere South of there.
I
pulled out my tablet and did a satellite search of the location. It seemed to
be coming from an affluent neighborhood nearby.
I
did another search. Homes recently rented or sold there. The one address that
popped up out of the two was an exact match of the location the phone
pinpointed.
Bingo.
I
pulled up my mobile computer and asked for the fastest way to that address, and
sped my way through.
Chapter 7
Summer
E ddie practically pushed Brandi out the door
when she tried to stay, after having full on sex in front of me. He shut and
locked the door behind him, making sure she didn’t come back to the room,
although I could hear her screaming angrily out his name in the hallway, and
cussing up a storm about me, about him, and everything under the sun.
She
kicked at the door, screamed, and even hit the door with a heavy object, trying
to pry it open. Her phone rang outside, and she picked up, cussing and cursing
the entire time to whoever was on the line. Finally, I could hear her heels
clicking away down the hallway.
Eddie
gave me an exasperated look and went to the window of his bedroom to look out.
“Finally, that crazy bitch has left the building,” he said, shaking his head.
“I should never have let her think I was interested in anything more than sex.”
He
let out a big breath and said, “As you can see, Doctor, I deal with all kinds
of people.”
“I
see,” I said. “She seemed seriously into you. Was it all just one-sided?”
I
didn’t know why I bothered asking him something so personal, but he looked
vulnerable, human like just an ordinary guy at the moment, instead of someone
who was holding me hostage against my will. Maybe there was some sympathetic
person underneath all that tough exterior. If so, I would have a chance of
getting out of this alive.
“No,”
he said, “I saw her off and on whenever I came back from overseas. I met her at
the most exclusive gentleman’s club, The Blue Room, and although we’re not
supposed to know each others’ real identities outside The Blue Room, we saw
each other outside, and had the craziest sex. That woman was wild and into
anything. I just didn’t think she’d get attached. I hate attachment. It gets
in the way, and besides,” he said walking up to my chair where he had my hands
tied behind my back, “I’m into another flavor right now.”
He
leaned in and kissed me softly on the lips, pulled away and then kissed me
again, running his long tongue along the inside of my mouth. “You taste spicy,”
he said. “Yet sweet,” he licked his lips before pulling my head towards his and
openly kissing me. His tongue diving in and playing with mine while pressing
his hard body into mine. “Delicious,” he said, “Fresh and refreshing. I love
this taste.” He straddled me, leaning my head back as he took full control of
my mouth.
At
this angle, my mouth was wide open as he delved in, sucked at my tongue, and
began inhaling me as though he
