information in the computers. If they had, there’d be some news going down somewhere, like actions on various agency websites. Something. Instead, there’s no word of anything anywhere.”
Niall thought for a few moments. “Do you have leads to follow, or are you stuck?”
“It’s like following a snail’s trail through the garden. One tiny line that disappears under leaves or grass here, but I keep looking and find it comes out over there. It’s very, very slow, but I’m moving steadily forward. I’m just worried I’m not moving fast enough to stop whatever might happen.”
“In that case, we have to find you more hours to work on it. Have you got other jobs I could help you with, or is it all highly technical stuff?”
Mas frowned then shrugged. “One of my projects is finished. I just need to translate some pages of data into pie charts and bar graphs. It’s only a few hours work, but I’d wondered about getting Aurelia to do it. At least it’d give me a couple more hours to work on our case, and it doesn’t really matter too much if it takes her a little while to understand my way of doing things. It could even help her for when she gets a job again.”
“If we do all that tomorrow, surely it will help. After that, we can start talking about planning our own commitment ceremony. I want Aurelia to be known as ours, not on the market for any man to look at.” Niall heard the harsh undertone in his voice and took a deep breath, but Mas didn’t seem to mind. Instead, he was nodding.
“I agree. We need to ask her first though, but I know she’ll say yes. She’s already said she loves us.”
“I thought perhaps we could each get a nipple pierced. It would be like a private thing only we know but a symbol all of us share of our commitment to each other,” said Niall.
Mas was silent for a long time, and Niall wondered if he was going to veto the idea. But then Mas smiled and nodded. “Yes. I’d never thought of anything like that. But yes. It would secret, special, just between the three of us. I hope Aurelia likes that plan.”
“God, so do I.”
They sat companionably in silence for a while then traded a few more ideas for a commitment ceremony and for tracking the call center demons, before returning to the bedroom and cuddling close to Aurelia, one on each side of her.
Niall stretched his arm over Aurelia to rest on Mas’s thick, muscular shoulder. They were a team, a threesome, a unit, indivisible. Together they’d overcome all the problems facing them. They’d reveal who the evil power was behind the call center scam, they’d expose any wrongdoing by Peter Blake, they’d help Aurelia build her career as an event organizer, and they’d form a committed ménage to love and protect Aurelia forever.

Aurelia guessed the men had been planning something the next morning. After their usual leisurely Sunday breakfast, and a second shower after they got sidetracked into kitchen counter sex, Niall hurried her off down to the gym he used to practice her self-defense techniques. Whereas normally, Mas most likely would have wanted to come with them, he was already shut in their tiny office, deeply concentrating on some project.
Well, if Mas needed silence, that was fine by her. She enjoyed working out at Niall’s gym, the equipment was much better than at the one she usually went to, and he’d taught her some neat tricks already. She was happy to learn a few more.
The next hour stretched her physically and mentally as she worked to avoid Niall’s punishing blows and sneaky attempts to take her down. But the best moment was when she tripped him and he crashed to the floor at her feet. She’d never achieved that before!
After yet another shower, she settled down in front of Mas’s old laptop with a huge pile of data and the templates for the various graphs he wanted her to make from the figures. Now this was interesting. Aurelia loved making boring information into
