There’s no shame in that. And you were so fucking beautiful when you came apart. Come here.”
He sat beside her and pulled her onto his lap, encircling her with his strong arms. She laid her head against his chest and the feeling she had earlier came back.
He held her as her breathing slowed and she relaxed. Kissing the top of her head he decided that if he was right about her submissive tendencies, now might be a good time to talk about them.
“Have you ever been restrained like that before?”
Closing her eyes, she shook her head. She couldn’t be any more embarrassed than she was at the moment.
    “Look at me.”
This time she obeyed him immediately. He searched her face for a minute as she squirmed under his intense gaze, then his smile widened as if he had seen something he liked.
“Have you ever heard of the term BDSM?”
If she could have sunk into the ground she would have.
Stuttering again, she finally answered, “Um…yes…I’ve read about it. I’ve never done any of it though because Sean always thought it was freaky.”
Aiden raised his eyebrows in question.
“But you wanted to? No…don’t close your eyes again. There’s no shame in wanting to explore your sexuality. Just because the moron you lived with felt it was wrong, doesn’t mean that it is. Did you know that Jan and Brett have a D/s relationship?”
She nodded. In a shaky voice she told him, “Jan did tell me a little about it, one day in the store, when it was quiet and she asked about the type of books that I read. I admitted to enjoying erotic romance. She told me that they go to a club, somewhere down near Gravenhurst, on the weekend but I don’t know any details. She was the one who suggested I ask Sean to try. He just said it turned him off and he made me feel like I was a freak so I never mentioned it again.”
She sighed at the memory of that night which was burned into her brain as one of the most horrible nights of her life.
Aiden watched the emotions flitter across her face.
    “Tell me what you’re thinking.”
She flushed as if he could read her thoughts.
    “Nothing.”
“Aly? Don’t lie to me, sweetheart. Tell me.”
She swallowed hard but answered, “I might read about all this stuff but I don’t know if I could ever actually do it. Sean said it was perverted and you have to admit it’s pretty weird.”
He grinned, his eyes twinkling. “Do you think I’m a pervert?”
She looked shocked and cried out, “Of course not. Why would I think that?”
His next statement didn’t really come as a surprise to her, even after knowing him just for this short time.
“Because I’m also in that lifestyle. I also go to Mac’s club. I’ve been a Dom as long as I can remember and I have never thought of myself as weird or perverted.”
Her face reddened even more. “Oh, my God. I’m sorry.” She buried her face in his chest in horror.
Aiden chuckled and tightened his arm around her. “Hey. Look at me,” he ordered. She stayed hidden.
    “Aly. Look. At. Me.”
Again his tone brooked no argument and she lifted her head to look at him.
His next words made her blanch.
“Stand up.” Despite her nerves she stood. “Strip.”
“What?” She couldn’t keep the shock out of her voice.
He waved his hand at her. “You heard. Strip. Everything off.”
Her thoughts threatened her composure and her hands shook.
Oh Lord. A real Dom. Can I do this? What if he takes one look at me and hates what he sees?
“Wait,” he barked out the word as she stood, indecision written all over her.
She gave him a quizzical look as she battled with her natural shyness and tried to decide whether to obey him.
He continued, “What was that negative thought that just went through your head?”
    Again her thoughts jumped in.
How did he know? Were Doms psychic, too? Could she admit her fears to him? He was such a good-looking man she couldn’t see that he would be interested in her.
    “I’m waiting, Aly.”
