turned her on, but she was going to ignore those feelings. They were something she just didn’t need right now.
Seeing Marcus slowly put together the pieces of what was really going on between him and Rita was way more amusing. She could feel the tension rolling off of Nate as he sat next to her. She couldn’t hold back from poking the bear.
“At least someone understands brotherly love,” Nate grunted.
“Oh give it a rest Hulk,” Pam snickered.
“I’ll show you a Hulk,” Nathan leaned to whisper in Pam’s ear.
Pamela felt the shiver that ran down her spine as his warm breath fanned her skin. She slid her glasses down her nose and looked him in the eyes. Nathan gave her a cocky smile and she rolled her eyes as she clenched her thighs and turned away. The sooner she got away from this man the better.

    Chapter Seven
T wo weeks, it’s been two whole weeks. A lot can happen in two weeks. Nate knew this from experience. He spent his last two weeks helping to put out fires. First was dealing with the press because of Bobby and Paige’s wedding and the photos that were leaked. Even after they held the press release cameras and reporters seemed to show up everywhere.
Then there was the task of dealing with security for both Minnie and James’ move into their new home. Not to mention Bobby and Paige’s move into the family estate. James wanted things settled quickly and that is exactly what he got. Next on Nate’s plate was distributing new assignments and details within the family. Lastly, his time was devoted to helping his father and James help clean up the mess Marcus had unwittingly gotten himself into.
To top it all off he had deals of his own still on the table. He had to find time to look at proposals that would allow him to unload a few ventures for lucrative profits. However, it had now been two weeks and he had other important things that needed his full attention.
Nate did as he’d given his word to. He gave Pamela the time he promised. That stopped now. Pam’s time had run out for a few reasons and Nate wasn’t about to let his word fall short. If he made a promise it was happening and his words to Pamela the morning after he claimed her were just that, a promise.
Nate had been pissed to find out that the Luca Pamela had mentioned was none other than Luca Donati, of the Donati family. Although this fact would not detour him from claiming Pam as his own, he was just going to have one more task on his plate. This task was to protect what was his.
The Briggs and Donati families were on neutral if not friendly terms but Nate knew the possessive nature of the men in the family. Nate chided himself on not picking up on the names Luca and Uri right away but it seemed when it came to Pam he was finding himself distracted.
That stopped now though. Too much was in his hands and he needed to have focus, so one of the first things he needed to do was let his woman know where she belonged. He had to do this because he refused to let another day go by with her running through his mind and through his blood.
His body ached for Pam. His thoughts kept going to the fact that she could be carrying his child even as he made his way to the condo she now called home. Nate had to fight everyday not to show up at her place and show her why she was already his. He told himself he would just have to settle for the reports he was receiving from one of his team.
Nate didn’t feel guilty at all that he had stationed an around the clock detail to Pamela since the day they returned to New York. Justin had done a full background check on Pamela and that was when Nate started to put the pieces together. His woman was seriously on the run. It surprised him that she would run into plain sight.
Chicago and New York were Luca’s stomping grounds. Once he figured out that Pam was here it would be easy to track her down and he would figure out where she was. It was what Uri did. Find people that
