wine. She’d started a conversation with another woman by asking for a cigarette. There were only the two of them sitting at the bar, even though the rest of the place was busy. I was standing at the edge of the dance floor. I couldn’t stop watching the girl’s lips move. The other woman was older, kind of good-looking and laughing with her. The girl was taking big gulps from her drink. I could tell she was getting drunk because she was sliding her lips together and liking the feel of it. The girl was leaning into the woman to get another cigarette when she caught me looking at her. It was like she knew I was looking at her mouth. Her tongue slid along her upper lip. I think for a second she thought she was shocking me, licking herself like that. But she wasn’t shocking me. I was amused watching her flirt with that woman, sure. And I was thinking about how her lips would feel on me.
I was staring for too long, though, and I looked away for a moment. When I looked back up, the girl motioned me over by patting her hand on the seat beside her. I hadn’t really thought she was going to do that. I smiled at her and her cheeks turned bright red.
I felt my heart beating up near my throat when I walked up to her and the woman. I squeezed in beside her stool and the wall. She didn’t even say hi to me. She just started giggling with the woman who I could tell wasn’t happy that I was now there too. The woman had a few wiry grey hairs near her ears. She blew her smoke in my direction. I leaned my back against the wall. I got the hint, lady . I looked past the two of them at all the people dancing. Everyone was dancing alone. I like watching people together, really grinding. I was so close to the girl’s body and I felt heat coming off her. I felt like she was doing that to me on purpose. The woman whispered something into the girl’s ear. I kept looking at the dance floor.
I ordered another drink. I noticed that the girl’s back really curved in at the bottom before it turned into her ass. I wanted to hold on to her there. I wanted to see her on her hands and knees, her big tits swaying, her ass humping. I wanted to see what she moved like naked.
But the girl kept on ignoring me. It was bullshit. I didn’t want to be there anymore. I gulped down the drink I’d just ordered and touched her lightly on her shoulder.
    ‘I’m going,’ I said.
    ‘No, wait up.’
It was the first time she looked at me. Her eyes were glazed. She assumed she was going with me? I didn’t even think I heard her right. I turned and started making my way out through the crowd. I wanted her to follow me but I wasn’t sure if she was coming. When I turned my head to look, I saw her kissing the woman. I stopped and stared at them even though I didn’t really want to. I felt a bit embarrassed. I just wanted to get out of there. I saw the woman’s hands squeezing the girl’s ass. Their tongues were going in and out of each other’s open lips. It was pretty incredible, their age difference and everything. That woman was really taking pleasure with the girl’s body. I felt it in my throat.
Then I saw the bartender moving toward them. He was smiling and talking – he must’ve made some kind of joke because the girl peeled herself away and they all started laughing. The girl jumped down off the bar stool. The bartender and the woman looked at each other. The bartender rolled his eyes. I saw the girl look around for me. She looked kind of worried. I was near the front door. When she spotted me, her mouth broke into a smile. She started walking quickly toward me, making her way through the tables and the people. Everyone was looking at her. She started running. She ran past me, yanking my hand and pulling me outside with her.
It was raining. There were barely any cars on the street.
‘Come on!’ she yelled, still running. ‘Let’s go to my place!’
I was almost out of breath running after her. ‘Slow down!’ I yelled. But I liked
