into her was a real turn on,
but…
    “You don’t sound too sure.”
Kali frowned. “It’s just that… I’d like more. Maybe
a long, lingering kiss. A little tenderness.” She pushed her hair
back from her face. “To see each other outside the office.”
“Honey, this is an office fling with your boss.”
Selena shrugged. “It doesn’t work that way.”
Kali nodded. “Yeah, I know. It’s just when I
fantasized about being with Mr. Blair, I…” She sucked in a breath
and shook her head. “Never mind.”
“Ah, honey, you were hoping for flowers and
romance.” Serena rested her hand on Kali’s arm. “That’s not going
to happen.”
Kali stared at her friend, blinking at the threat of
tears.
“Oh, God, Kali. Are you falling for the guy?”
Kali’s eyes widened. “What? No, of course not.”
Serena shook her head. “Are you sure? Because if you
are, you need to stop this thing right now. Don’t get in any
deeper.”
“No, I’m fine,” Kali insisted. “I know what this is.
It’s just sex. Nothing more.”
    “That’s right. You remember that.”
Kali nodded, but deep inside she knew she was
lying.
That night, she lay in her bed, longing for Mr.
Blair, wishing he was with her. Making love to her. Then she’d
snuggle in his arms and fall asleep in the warmth of his
embrace.
Monday morning, as she got ready for work, she knew
she had it bad. She hadn’t slept well all weekend, and when she had
slept, her dreams had been filled with hot, erotic sex with her
boss.
God, actually having sex with him in the office
actually left her wanting him more, and leaving her less
satisfied.
And, damn it, she wouldn’t even have that need
satisfied today because he was leaving for a three day business
trip early this afternoon. This week would be pure hell.
As soon as she arrived at the office, she hurriedly
prepared all the things he needed for his trip, pulling together
the proposals and backup documentation he needed to present to the
clients. She barely saw him since his door was constantly closed
while he took back-to-back meetings.
She glanced at the clock on her computer. He had to
leave for the airport in thirty minutes. She had everything ready
to go for him. She had hoped his final meeting would end early
enough that they could squeeze in a little time together in his
office, but she doubted that would happen.
She called to arrange for a driver to take him to
the airport. Just as she hung up the phone, his door opened.
“I’ll be back in three days so we can follow up on
that then,” Mr. Blair said to Mr. Turner as he walked him out the
door.
Mr. Turner left and Mr. Blair went back into the
office. Once the other man had disappeared around the corner, Kali
stood and went into Mr. Blair’s office, then closed the door. She
stood with her back to it, then turned the lock.
Mr. Blair glanced up from the computer. “Kali, I
know we usually…Well, you know I have to leave in a few
minutes.”
“I know. I just wanted a minute.” She walked toward
him, happy to see the hunger in his eyes as she approached. “I know
you don’t have time for our usual morning activity, but…”
She slipped her fingers into her pocket and pulled
out the little bundle, then reached for his hand. When he held it
out, she pressed the scrap of fabric into his palm.
“What’s this?” he asked as he stared at the silk and
lace. Then a slow smile spread across his face as he realized they
were her panties.
“I wanted to give you something to remind you of me
while you’re gone.”
“So you brought these from home?”
    She shook her head.
“You didn’t? Then…” His granite eyes glittered as he
seemed to comprehend.
She took his hand and ran it over her hip, so he
could tell there was no panty line.
“They’re the ones I’ve been wearing.”
His eyes grew dark and filled with need.
    “Fuck.”
He wrapped his hand around her arm and drew her in
front of him, the desk behind her. The feel
