Sullivan, on the other hand, seemed to have forgotten all about it. He’d apologized for the kiss, promised that it would never happen again, and once they’d left Paris, he’d gone back to treating Liam the way he always had.
He couldn’t blame Sully, though. Liam’s shocked and horrified reaction to that kiss had made it pretty damn clear where his head was.
If he was a braver man, he wouldn’t have accepted the apology—he would’ve told his friend that saying sorry hadn’t been necessary.
    Because he’d
liked
it.
But the confession had jammed in his throat, and sohe’d pretended that the whole crazy encounter was no biggie. And since then, he’d tried to think of Sully as nothing more than the cocky teammate who also happened to be his best friend.

Liam headed back upstairs, ignoring the turbulent emotions churning in his stomach. He wasn’t gay, damn it. He liked women. No, he
loved
women. Which only made his attraction to Sullivan even more confusing. Threesomes were one thing, but fantasizing about being with another man? One-on-one? He didn’t fucking understand it. At all.
He stood in the kitchen, resting his elbows on the granite counter as he took a breath to clear his head. Fuck. None of that mattered right now. Reilly was in trouble, and they needed to get him out of it.
He slid his phone out of his pocket and pulled up Sully’s number, then hesitated. He hadn’t spoken to his friend in a month and a half. Which wasn’t out of the ordinary—Sully was always out of touch when he was out on his boat. For some reason, Morgan was perfectly cool with the fact that Sullivan skipped town for months at a time. Apparently it was the arrangement they’d made when Sully had first joined up with the team.
Sully had checked in over the radio a few times since he’d left, but Liam hadn’t spoken to him personally since the . . .
incident
. It also didn’t escape him that he hadn’t been invited on Sullivan’s little vacation; the last time Sully had done his open-water thing, he’d brought Liam along.
But hell, Liam was glad he hadn’t gone this time. The two of them, alone on a sailboat in the middle of the ocean? Shit was already confusing enough.
Swallowing his reluctance, he dialed the number for Sully’s satellite phone. It took several rings beforeSullivan picked up, and the moment his Australian accent drawled over the line, Liam’s chest squeezed. Despite the messed-up attraction he felt for the guy, Sully was still his closest friend, and he’d honestly missed him.
He cleared his throat. “Hey. It’s me.”
“Boston! Hey!” Sully sounded like he had no care in the world. “You should see the sunset I’m looking at right now. The whole sky is pink—it’s weird, but pretty bloody awesome.”
Liam had to laugh. “Instagram it. I haven’t seen a nice sunset in a while. It’s been raining here all week.”
“Whatcha up to? Probably bored as fuck over there, huh?”
“Actually, no. Things just got interesting.”
    “Yeah?”
“Oh yeah.” He paused. “Sean Reilly’s in the process of robbing a bank in Dublin.”
    Silence met his ears.
    “Sully, you there?”
Another long pause, and then Sullivan’s grave voice slid into his ear. “I’m on my way.”

“This is bollocks! I’m not going to jail for this!” Paddy Lynch hissed out.
Gallagher had just outlined the plan privately to each of the men, and although none of them were too happy about it, they’d accepted the orders with resigned nods. But not Paddy. He was the hothead of the group, and Sean had expected the lad to object.
But he didn’t have the patience for an argument right now. They had to make their move, and fast. The negotiator was getting wise to their bullshit requests. Five million dollars, total immunity, a chopper to take them tosafety. They were the typical unrealistic demands robbers usually made, and Sean was surprised the cops were even
