Drew’s, but Drew had broader shoulders.
She also realized that Ranger didn’t say much. It hadn’t really been that obvious at their house since most of what they did was fuck, but now it was. She wondered if he was shy, or if he wasn’t really interested in her other than for sex. She decided not to let it worry her right then. She would think about it more later. Right then, she wanted to enjoy the here and now. She squeezed Drew’s waist and laughed when he revved up the bike.
For the next two hours, they rode around the outskirts of Dallas. She enjoyed the thrill of riding on the back of a motorcycle and the chance to hug tightly against Drew’s muscular back. They pulled into a park about thirty minutes from her house and climbed off the bikes. They each took one of her hands and led her to a picnic table where she sat on the bench between them.
They spent the next two hours talking about everything from politics to football. They had a lot in common, despite their obvious differences. Ranger even talked more than he had in the diner. She decided he just didn’t say much. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. Finally they agreed it was time to head back to her place.
“We’ve all got to get up early in the morning to go to work,” Drew said.
“Some earlier than others.” Ranger grimaced.
    “Poor thing,” she murmured.
He grinned a lopsided smile, which made her laugh.
They climbed back on the bikes with Carly behind Ranger again for the trip back. She enjoyed the trip home but hated that they would be leaving. She almost asked them to come in, but figured that would lead to sex, and as much as she wanted it, they all did have to go to work the next day.
They each kissed her good-bye with Ranger adding a nip to her chin. She smiled and nipped him back.
“We’ll call you later in the week to see how you’re doing,” Drew promised.
“Don’t work too hard,” she said as they climbed on their bikes and started them.
She waved them off then walked inside to see her message light blinking. Lisa. She grinned as she listened to the message.
She called her friend back and chatted about what went on at Rudy’s the night before. It seemed that one of Carly’s ex-boyfriends had a new woman in his life, but he kept asking Lisa about her.
“What did you tell him?” she asked.
“I told him that you were seeing someone. I hope that was okay.”
    “Well, I am sort of.”
    “Who?” Lisa demanded.
    “Ranger and Drew.”
“But you haven’t heard from them…have you?” Lisa asked.
“Actually, they came and picked me up today to take me out to eat.”
“You go, girl! Where did you go?”
“We went to that little diner off Hickory Street. Then we went riding for a while. We stopped at a park and sat and talked for two hours.” Carly realized it sounded dorky, but she’d had a great time.
“All you did was talk? Really?” Lisa sounded like she couldn’t believe it.
“Yeah, imagine that. We got to know each other, I guess.”
“So, what do you think about them as just friends?” she asked.
“I like them, Lisa. They’re really nice, and we actually have a lot in common.”
They talked for another few minutes. When she hung up, Carly realized she hadn’t told her about their plans to spend a weekend together later. She smiled. That was fine. Something could happen, and she didn’t want Lisa to know about it yet.
She spent the rest of the afternoon getting ready for work the next day and went to bed thinking about the two men. When she dreamed, she dreamed of them.

Chapter Six

“You two have been a royal pain in my ass this week. What is it with you?” Cole asked.
“Nothing. Why?” Drew shrugged and turned a bottle of water up.
“I’ve never known either of you to be big on working overtime to get something finished before. What sort of plans do the two of you have for the weekend?”
    Drew grinned.
“There, you go, Cole,” Zack said. “They’ve got plans. What poor,
