get over it.â
âDoubt if I can, Hunter.â
Whenever he said her name she felt a tingling sensation in the lower part of her belly. âTry real hard.â With her notebook and pen in hand she forced herself back into business mode. âHow many bedrooms would you like in your home?â
âAt least six.â
When she lifted her brow, he said, âA room for each of my brothers in case their wives ever put them out.â
âAt the same time?â
He shrugged. âYou never know. And theyâre smart enough to not to move back home. Mom would drive them to drink.â
She fought back a smile. âNot your mom. I remember her from church. I was always in awe of her. She was beautiful.â
âShe still is beautiful. However, she does have one major flaw.â
âWhat?â Hunter asked, taking a sip of her water.
âShe likes getting into her sonsâ business too much to suit us. If she had her way we would all be married.â
âAnd, of course, thatâs a bad thing.â
âFor me it is. I canât speak for my brothers since she got to three of them already.â
Hunter shook her head. âIâm sure it wasnât your mom that âgot to them.â I would think it was their wives. From what I hear they fell in love.â
He gave her a smile. âYouâre right. Theyâre pretty damn smitten. Now theyâre looking at me, Mercury and Gannon like they expect us to follow suit.â
âBut you wonât.â
âI wonât. I like being single.â
âI bet you do. Now, to get back to your design. You want six bedrooms, one of them the master. Any specifics there?â
âUmm, I want it big and spacious. Huge windows. Large walk-in closet and the regular stuff that goes in a bedroom. Nothing far-out like what Galen has. He built a house in the mountains and his bedroom has glass walls and a glass ceiling. He likes lying in bed and looking up at the stars.â
âSounds beautiful.â
âIt is if thatâs your taste. Not mine. I want regular walls and when I lay in bed and look up the only thing I want to see is a ceiling fan.â
âWhat about the kitchen?â
âI want a large kitchen.â
She raised a brow. âYou cook?â
âNo. But for some reason women are impressed by the size of a manâs kitchen.â
She fought the urge to laugh. âAre they?â
âYes. Some think if they get in your kitchen and cook you a good meal then youâll sweep them off their feet.â
âHasnât worked yet, I gather.â
âWhen I sweep them off their feet I head for the bedroom and not the wedding chapel as they would like.â
For some crazy reason the thought of him heading for the bedroom with any woman annoyed her. âWhatâs the range of square footage you want?â
âMinimum of thirty-five hundred and max of fifty-five.â
âThatâs a lot of house for a single person.â
He smiled. âI figure Iâll eventually have plenty of nieces and nephews and would want a big enough place for them to enjoy themselves when they come visit their uncle Tyson.â
Over the next half hour Tyson continued to add on to his wish list. And there were a few things she suggested that he hadnât thought about. With additional land, a home in the country would be different from one built in the city. Already ideas were forming in her head and she couldnât wait to get started on this project.
âI think that will be enough information for now,â she said finally, putting her notepad away. âI should have some preliminary sketches for you within a week to ten days. You can call Pauline and make anââ
âI prefer calling you directly.â
âWhy?â
âI just do.â
âI hired Pauline for a reason.â
âTell that to your other clients.â
She glared over at him.
