slacks. Although he was physically
smaller in scale to his hulking former bodyguard, in this area he
was an even match. I chewed on my lower lip, suddenly unsure.
Hadn’t I dreamt about this? Touched myself in the middle of the
night thinking about those same steel eyes staring back at me as he
pounded into me?
“ What sort of sex?” I
asked, knowing that I was delaying. I needed a moment to think. To
consider what the fuck I was getting myself in to. Ethan had proven
to be dangerous for me. I made a rule of never allowing myself to
connect with a conquest. One night stands. Drunken Vegas hook ups.
I got what I needed and kicked them out of my bed. None of those
mattered to me, but I had a very bad feeling that Ethan had the
potential to be more than that.
It was the way he looked at me. There
was hunger in his gaze, oh yes, but also a tenderness that alarmed
me. It wasn’t the first time a guy had foolishly transferred
misplaced emotions onto me but I knew with him I would have to
tread lightly.
“ I want you to ride me so
that I can look into your eyes, watch you enjoy your orgasm as I
push you over the edge. I want you to look at me I bury deep inside
you and make moan my name,” he said without hint of
apology.
If I weren’t mistaken he had been
planning that statement for a long time. Though the need behind his
words felt genuine I also sensed a hint of anxiety surrounding
them. Fear of my rejecting him? Sure. Guys who paid strippers for
sex tended to be anxious about it, but this was something else.
Something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on.
    “ That’s it?”
“ For now.” He laughed. “I
will let you lead after as you see fit.”
That didn’t sound too bad as long as
he followed through with that promise. “How many times?”
    “ As many as you
like.”
“ I have quite an appetite
once I get started.” My eyebrow arched at his confident smile.
“Brian will be waiting for quite some time.”
“ Perhaps we should get him
a chair.”
I glanced toward the window. Brian
bounced on his toes, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. I felt
bad for him. That tiny heater didn’t seem to be doing a damn thing
to keep him warm.
“ Or we could go to my
place,” Ethan murmured as he trailed a finger down my bare arm.
“You are free to bring him along if you so choose to make you feel
a bit more comfortable.”
“ Your place?” I looked back
at him, surprised. Clarksdale wasn’t exactly known for its flashier
condos. My own apartment was only one step above run down fifties
throw back style and I paid top dollar for that. This town was
caught in a time warp of epic proportions and I couldn’t imagine
Ethan fitting in here.
    “ Well, my weekend retreat,”
he amended and circled his finger around the top of my hand. “I
live in the city.”
That made a lot more sense. Whoever
Ethan was, I knew he wasn’t from around here. “Which city?” I
asked, curious to see how far he had traveled just for
me.
    He smirked and remained silent.
Mysterious as ever. “If you agree to my terms I will throw in
another five grand to make up for any...discomfort the change in
location may have, on one condition of course.”
    “ And that is?”
Ethan scooted to the edge of his seat
and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into his embrace. I held
my breath, knowing that he was about to kiss me and I was aching
for it. He brushed his lips along my cheekbone and paused beside my
ear. “Your body guard rides up front.”
As the lights of Clarksdale fell
behind us, I lowered down onto Ethan’s lap. His erection pressed
tight against his pants as I slid my hand down between us, rubbing
him through his pants until I felt moisture beneath my fingertips.
He kept his arms over the seat back, his eyes never closing as I
stroked.
I was right about him. He was hard,
long, and strong as granite beneath me. When I playfully pinched
the tip of his cock, he rested his hands on my hips, his fingers
digging in
