on the wall while holding her up. Thank goodness he did. She would have fallen on the shower floor if not for him.
“Looks like we need to wash again.” He chuckled and helped her stand up. She turned and kissed him deeply and sighed into his mouth.
They finished their shower and stood in the bathroom drying off with towels. He frowned and looked around and said, “Hang on a minute; Let me see if we can find you some clean clothes.”
She nodded and wrapped the towel around herself. Thank goodness, she did because when he opened the door and walked out of the bathroom, there were three men leaning against the wall waiting for them.
“Good performance, hell I almost came just from listening to you two. I am sure the Master will be pleased that you have claimed your mate.” The tallest man she had ever seen drawled and smiled as he pushed himself upright.

Chapter 4
How much longer was he going to have to wait? Alpha Quin said they would be here only a few hours ago, but time seemed to practically stand still as he waited for the wolves to get here from Milliken. Levi had no idea what to expect, but he sure as hell was going to have to hold his temper if he wanted to go. If he had his way, he would have gone to the warehouse district hours ago when he first heard that was where his mates were being held. If it were not for the fact, the warehouse district was so large, he would have done so.
Pacing across the lobby of the Pack headquarters, he paused with each pass to look out the front windows to see if anyone had pulled up yet. He knew that this was driving the guards in the lobby nuts, because he could hear them growl when he passed their desk.
“I am gonna kick your weak ass, if you don"t stop.” Darry barked at him.
Levi turned to look at his friend. He had been at the fight in Milliken and been wounded. The Alphas sent him back to headquarters with orders that he was on desk duty until he fully healed. During the fight, Darry had fought off four wolves at once and sustained a lot of broken bones. Hearing the stories, he felt a little guilty that he had been looking for his mates when his brothers-in-arms had been fighting. But the Alphas understood, as did the rest of the Council. It did not make him feel any better though.
“Shut up or I will beat your old rickety ass into the ground.” He said in return.
If only he could feel this comfortable with his mate. Ruby had tried so many times to talk to him, and get to know him. But he had shunned her at every turn. She was young, and he had too much baggage. What will she say when she learns about his parents? Hell, alcoholism runs in the family. Would she worry that he would start drinking too? FUCKIN" A, he worried about that.
Levi had plenty of time over the last few weeks to think. He was ashamed that he let his past prevent him from claiming and protecting his mate. If he had been strong enough, they would not be in this position. From the time he was a child, he decided that he would never find his mate. Why would the Gods gift him with something so fragile and precious when even his parents did not care enough about him to take care of him?
Quin"s father had tried several times to talk to his dad. But the drunken asshole only would stay sober for about a week. Then he would start back up again. His mother did not even try to stop. He had forgotten the number of times he had to clean up after one of their parties. Vomit and bottles littered their small house for as long as he could remember. He only had himself to count on. When he met Quin and Jaden, they had been several years older. But they had seen the bruises and cuts that his father inflicted on the boy. They took him under their wing and helped him learn how to protect himself. Quin told him his father would never be pissed from the young man protecting himself, even if it was from his own father.
Slowly, he had bulked up until one day his father pushed him into a wall, and Levi fought back.
