the old towel beneath him as his bowels gave way in a smelly brown and yellow gush.
Corpses were rarely pretty and this one was uglier than most. It took her a few minutes to clean up the mess he’d made when his bowels had loosened. Washing the towel, she hung it over the shower rail then bundled the dead man into the corner. Death made him heavy and it took some effort to position him so he was sitting up. She pushed his head forward to hide the damage to his throat and put his hands over his bruised testicles. Stepping back, she examined him critically. To the casual observer, he looked like he’d passed out after drinking too much. It would take a keen eye to notice that he wasn’t breathing.
The entire encounter had taken less than ten minutes and Abby left the bathroom and crossed to the now unlocked bedroom door. She peeked into the hallway and no one was in sight. The two guards had stepped outside to take a smoke and apparently her attacker had taken the opportunity to pay her a visit. No one knew that he’d entered Alejandro’s room and hopefully he wouldn’t be missed anytime soon. If anyone had been watching through a hole in the bathroom wall, she’d have already been executed. She was safe, for now.
Taking another shower to wash off any evidence of the murder, Abby dried herself off, dressed and sat down on the bed to wait for Ryan. The dead man offered her his silent, unwelcome companionship until the doorknob finally turned. She had plenty of time to mull over the fact that she had broken her vow not to kill again. It was either kill him or allow herself be violated. She hadn’t really had a choice, but Abby’s conscience bowed beneath the burden of yet another death at her hands.

Chapter Eleven

Finding his bedroom door already unlocked, Ryan’s heart leaped into his throat. Expecting to find Abby’s well raped corpse lying on the bed, he quietly exhaled in relief when he pushed the door open and saw her sitting up and watching him. She wasn’t showing any signs of abuse, yet something had upset her. Her face was drawn and her eyes were shadowed. They cut towards the bathroom door and he nodded once in response.
Closing and relocking the door, he walked over to the bathroom and flicked the light on. He saw the naked corpse of one of the bandits propped up in the corner and closed the door. At first glance, it looked like the outlaw had simply passed out. The grayish tone of his skin told him the truth.
Ryan crouched beside the dead man and examined his body. It took only a few seconds to piece together what had happened. Abby had been attacked and had managed to either kick or knee the man in the groin. She’d used her elbow or possibly her forearm to crush his throat. The only question he had was whether she’d killed the man by accident or on purpose.
Leaving the corpse where it was for now, he stepped beneath the shower and noted the old towel handing over the shower rail. Still dripping wet, it bore the faint stains of excrement, presumably made by the dead man. Ryan’s admiration for Abby grew. Not only had she defended herself, she’d cleaned up the mess as well.
A dead man in the bathroom was a definite mood killer , but his cock grew hard the instant he stepped out of the bathroom and saw Abby kneeling on the bed. Totally naked, her hands gripped the rail. Her knees were wide open and she silently invited him to mount her. Saliva pooled in his mouth and he swallowed it down.
Moving to the end of the bed, he couldn’t take his eyes off her. He didn’t know what was going on inside her head, but there were no telltale signs of arousal yet. This would be their last time together and he suddenly felt the need to bring her pleasure. Taking another long look at her, he committed the sight of her naked and on her knees to his memory then switched the light off. He’d only left the bathroom door open a sliver, just enough to let a trickle of light into
