you can rest.” She looked down at Marsha. “There will be no need for a doctor.” Gaia snapped her head up and listened to something that wasn’t there.
“Come back now!” Gaia moved towards the window and caught Lissa, who would have fallen if she hadn’t.
In a rush, her daughter Marcia LeBlathe was born at five pounds, two ounces at 2:00 pm, but Jaycee kept her gaze on Lissa who was bleeding. Blood dripped down her arms, her dress ripped down the back, and her face was swollen from some one’s fist.
“Nikola!” Gaia called and at once he was there. He snarled filled when he scooped up Lissa and disappeared from the room. Jaycee heard Adonis and Pierre’s howl and knew they had been told of her beating.
“Her babies?” Jaycee whispered, the room grew quiet, even her little bundles seemed to wait.
“They’re fine, but she is hurt badly. They marked her back and she will be scared.” Gaia gazed over at Dominic. “They are demanding the king’s presence, those that attacked her refuse to believe you are alive and they want proof of it.”
Marsha laid Jaycee’s small daughter into her arms after Remi scooted her back and moved next to Dominic. He placed his hand on shoulder. “Shall we go?”
“No, it could be a trap.” Jaycee glanced back and forth at Dominic and Remi just as Adonis and Pierre appeared in the room.
“Nikola has thirty of his men waiting. Are you coming?” Adonis snapped.
“Adonis, how is Lissa?” Jaycee asked feeding her little one.
    “She’ll live.”
Jaycee cringed at the anger in his voice. “Adonis, she went to get help for me and the babies. You can’t be angry at her for that?”
Adonis turned and faced her, his eyes a blood red. “They were waiting for her Jaycee, that means we have someone here that is supplying them information. Who would have known you needed a doctor, except the people in this room? And didn’t Gaia inform us that this world wouldn’t allow those that would harm us here?”
Jaycee and everyone turned to Gaia. “That is true, but if the person is already here, or…” Gaia frowned. Goddess Empusa appeared in the room. “Those that we brought over wouldn’t be affected with this.” Empusa nodded turned to Dominic. “The four I saved and the four council men would be the ones to confront. We can’t tell you anything, I don’t see anything on this world because it is still forming, and we have no control over it. The higher powers have taken it from us.”
Remi snarled. “Then until we know for sure these eight will be separated and questioned. I’m sorry Suzanne and Jaycee, but your friends must be checked out before we bring them into our homes.”
Suzanne nodded. “As it should be, but my friend wouldn’t betray us Remi, she loves Lissa.”
Pierre snarled. “If we are going, let’s do it, I want to get back to Lissa.” He moved to the side of the bed and leaned down kissing her cheek. “They are beautiful Jaycee, all three of them, and we’ll visit soon.”
Jaycee grabbed his arm and squeezed it. “Pierre, don’t be mad at her, she’s going to need you. This beating is going to remind her, bring the demons back. Don’t punish her, when she’ll be punishing herself enough, even though there is nothing for her to be punished for.”
Pierre sighed and nodded. “I was afraid of that. Nikola has told us that Lissa has pulled back into herself. She won’t speak to any of them right now. We need to get back.”
“Then let’s go, she went to save my wife and my children. They’ll die for this, I promise,” Remi snapped.

Chapter Six
Nikola gently ran the soft sponge over her back, as the blood colored the bath water. The four claw marks down the center of her back were now healed. He wanted to throttle her for leaving the safety of their world, but he couldn’t.
“Lissa, you’re safe, baby. Please talk to us. Yell at me for giving you hell earlier, but talk to us.” In an instant the water was clean once
