wear the right clothes to show off all those things.”
“You want me to dress slutty?” she asked in surprise.
“No. Definitely not. Guys don’t like that either.”
“They don’t?” She cocked an eyebrow.
“Guys who are good-looking enough to get laid often want a girl who doesn’t just give it up to anyone. He wants someone with a little class. It makes the conquest better.”
“You sound like the relationship whisperer.”
I chuckled. “I do, don’t I? I’m just sharing my experience. And you need to find the right clothes that highlight all your good features. Put them on display, so to speak.”
She regarded me for a moment. “This isn’t your first rodeo.”
“Nope. And I will get you Prince Charming. I can almost guarantee it.”
    “You’re confident,” she noted.
“I just wish you would realize that you’re too good for this guy.” I leaned back into the chair and crossed my ankle on the opposite knee.
“He does have a lot of good qualities,” she said. “You’re only seeing him in his worst light.”
I didn’t think so. “He asked you to be his date then he ditched you for someone better. He had no respect or consideration for another person. Secondly, he didn’t even make sure you got home okay. He didn’t check on you at all. Just because this guy is rich and good-looking doesn’t give him the right to treat you however he wants. Judge a man by how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.”
“But he did apologize and make it up to me.”
This girl was stupid. “Whatever you say.” She hired me to do a job and I would do it.
An awkward silence stretched between us. She stared at me, looking like a girl I’d seen plastered on a billboard, and I looked at her, probably staring at her a little too much. Nothing irritated me more than seeing an amazing woman with a nothing guy. And that’s exactly how this situation was. Why did he deserve her undying loyalty? What was so great about him?
“What do we do first?” she asked, breaking the silence.
    “Shopping.”
    ***
We walked down the aisles together and I examined the dresses, skirts, and blouses. From looking at Meadow repeatedly, I knew her body. She had legs that stretched on for days. And she had a slim waist with perky tits. Finding clothes for her was easy.
“You do this a lot?” she asked.
“No, not really.” I grabbed a short dress I knew would look good on her. “Try this.” I handed it to her.
She took it and her eyes widened. “Whoa…it’s progressive.”
    “You’ll pull it off, sweetheart.”
    “Sweetheart?”
I turned to her. “You have a problem with me calling you that?”
    “No…just surprised me.”
I walked through the aisles and found more clothes.
“Can I ask you something, River?”
“Sure.” I searched through a rack.
    “Are you…gay?”
I turned to her, amused. “Do I act gay?”
    “No…but you’re picking out clothes.”
“I know what looks hot on girls. That doesn’t make me gay. And neither does this.” I grabbed her neck and gave her a hard kiss on the lips. Then I pulled away and continued searching for clothes like nothing happened.
Meadow remained rooted to the spot, her lips parted and her eyes glossy. Then she cleared her throat and recovered. “Uh…yeah. You’re good.”
I smiled even though she couldn’t see my face. Then I grabbed the last dress and handed it to her. “Try these on and show me.”
“Yes, sir.” She grabbed the pile of clothes and headed to the dressing room.
I took a seat and waited for her to come out.
Meadow remained in the changing room for minutes. She didn’t come out and I thought she was taking longer than necessary. I approached her door and knocked. “What’s taking so long, sweetheart?”
“I just…don’t look good in this.”
I highly doubted that. “Unlock the door.”
    “No, I know I don’t like it.”
“Unlock the door now or I’ll break it.” I wasn’t messing around.
    I heard her sigh
