Chapter Four
Chris woke with his nose nestled against Max’s nape, the faint scent of his lover’s
cologne mingling with the musk of sex and sweat from another torrid night together.
He squinted over Max’s shoulder at the alarm clock and gave a little groan of
annoyance at the realization he had just around two hours to report to the fire station.
Not wanting to leave the warmth of their shared bed, Chris shifted closer to Max. His
body ached from their weekend of amorous activities—but it was a good ache. They
would go their separate ways and these little muscle twinges would serve as a welcome
reminder of their amazing time together.
His cock stirred to life and bumped against Max’s ass. Chris yearned to bury
himself in Max’s tight, hot sheath. They had made some headway in that department.
Chris refused to pressure Max into giving him his ass cherry. That was a decision Max
needed to make on his own and Chris was more than willing to wait. Until then there
were plenty of other ways to get his fill of this sexy man.
He nipped at Max’s shoulder and rocked his hips. Max issued a throaty moan. Half
asleep, Max pushed back against him. Chris smiled and sucked Max’s earlobe between
his lips. He bit down gently. “I have to leave.”
    Max stilled. “So soon?”
There was no mistaking the disappointment in his lover’s voice. Chris experienced
an odd thrill at the realization Max would miss him. He planted a noisy kiss on Max’s
neck. “I have to work today.”
Max sighed sadly before rolling over. His delicate fingers clasped Chris’ face.
Eyelids lowering, Chris enjoyed the sensation of Max’s fingertips ghosting over his
stubbled jaw. When Max’s lips touched his, Chris welcomed his lover’s invading
tongue. Their arms wound around one another as they exchanged languid kisses.

Fingers sifted through hair. Lips skimmed over cheekbones. Their hands drifted lower
until they stroked one another’s stiff cocks. Their tongues darted in and out of one
another’s mouths. It was the most sensual of choreographed interludes.
It didn’t take long for Chris to climax. They came almost together, Chris just a
second or so before Max. Their male essences mingling, Chris clung to Max. The
thought of leaving him, the uncertainty as to whether or not he would ever see the man
again, paralyzed him. He wished with every fiber of his being he could simply stay like
    this forever.
But he couldn’t. Reality intervened and Chris reluctantly untangled himself from
Max and climbed out of bed. He hesitated next to the bed and held out his hand.
    “Shower with me?”
Max smiled and happily joined him. They said very little as each took turns soaping
up the other, both a bit pensive. While Chris changed into his uniform, Max
disappeared into the kitchen. Chris caught the scent of freshly brewing coffee and then
bacon. His stomach growled in anticipation of yet another of Max’s delectable meals.
For a man so flush with cash, Max seemed so at ease in the kitchen. Chris hadn’t
expected that of him. Fortunately the man was full of surprises.
Spatula in hand, Max turned toward Chris as he entered the kitchen. “Scrambled
    eggs all right?”
“Yeah.” Chris fixed two cups of coffee, sloshing plenty of sugar into his and leaving
Max’s untouched. He placed the cup of black coffee on the counter close to Max. Chris
kissed his cheek and watched him stir the curdling eggs. “You want me to toast those
    two bagels leftover from yesterday?”
    “Please.”
“Sure.” Chris found the paper sack and plunked them in the toaster.
    “Do you have a passport?”
Chris was momentarily thrown by Max’s question. “Yes.”
