so embarrassed and hurt.
"So yeah ... like I was saying, this shit between me and you is a wrap."
"Well I know yo' gon' tell her about me and Lil' Quan.
'Cause if you don't, you know I will."
"Sherry, don't play yourself, 'cause you of all people know that threatening me ain't the way to go. Now ... what I will do is tell her about Lil' Quan when I get good and fuckin' ready, and not a minute sooner."
"I can't believe you tryin' to play me like this! That uppity bitch don't love you the way I do! She ain't gon' do half the shit I done did for you, but you still wanna ask that hoe to be yo' wife! Quan, please! Yo' ass can't be faithful! You ain't no stand up nigga 'cause if you was you wouldn't have started fuckin' wit me in the first place! You ain't shit but a good piece of dick, and even that ain't shit! Go home and try to play house with that bitch all you want to! You gon' fuck around and get yo' feelings hurt!" Sherry yelled as tears formed in her eyes.
"I don't know why this is such a fuckin' shock to you! You the one kept this shit going, not me! So save them tears for a muthafucka who will wipe 'em! 'Cause after being wit you all this time a nigga like me don't give a fuck! It was plenty of times I tried to drop yo' ass but you kept on callin' me cryin' on that 'I'm pregnant' bullshit! Besides, why you so stuck on me anyway? You got a nigga in jail! Go be wit that man! I don't want to be bothered wit you! I want a family!"
"You want a family? I am your fuckin' family, nigga! Your family is in the other room sleep! Or have you forgot that I'm the one that gave yo' ass the son you always wanted? That rot-ten-belly bitch can't even have no kids!" Quan raised his hand, reared it all the way back and slapped Sherry in the face so hard it caused her to fly across the room and land on the floor with a thud.
"You lost yo' fuckin' mind, bitch?! The only ties me and you got together is Lil' Quan and that's all it's gon' ever be!
Better watch yo' fuckin' mouth! Fuck around and get yo' ass beat up in this muthafucka!"
Afraid that he might hit her again if she got smart, Sherry sat still, holding her face. She knew that she had taken things too far, but so the fuck what.
Suddenly they both heard the sound of their son crying in the next room. Quan went to soothe him. It took him a minute, but after a while he was able to put him back to sleep.
Not having anything more to say to Sherry, he grabbed his keys and made his way to the door.
"That's right, nigga, run back to that bitch like you always do!" She crossed her arms, staring at him. "I'm glad this shit is over! I don't wanna be wit yo' corny lookin' ass anyway! You no good piece of shit!"
"Whateva, call me when the rent is due." Quan walked out.
Angry beyond belief, Sherry stood still, biting her bottom lip and shaking her head. She should have been the one he was marrying, not Mo. Sherry just couldn't understand what he saw in the girl. Yeah she was pretty, but that was about it.
She wasn't the one who cooked up his dope and packaged it.
She wasn't the one who stashed his product. She wasn't the one who hustled the block with him. And most importantly, she wasn't the one who bore his child. But yet and still, Quan flossed Mo in her face like it was nothing.
Sherry hated the fact that after years of messing with Quan, he and Mo were still together and their relationship still had to be a secret. He swore to her once she became pregnant with their son that he would leave. For a whole year, Quan dragged the lie out. Sherry had gotten her hopes up.
She just knew he was gonna leave Mo, but he never did.
Now here it was, three years later, and she was still the other woman. But now that Quan was getting married, she didn't even know how long that would last. Something had to give and she wasn't gonna stop until he was finally hers. Later on that night around three, Quan arrived home. He was hoping that Mo would be awake, waiting on him as promised, but she
