thanks.”
“You’ve never been to a BDSM club before, have you?”
    “Is it that obvious?”
He laughed. “Your eyes are a little wide. C’mon. Let’s check out the scenes.”
Conner reached for her hand, and she let him lead her deeper into the club. It wasn’t long before she was shocked. Not so much at the acts, but the fact people were doing them in public. Then again, they were in a private club, and Adam had said some members were straight up exhibitionists, voyeurs, or into ménages or more, so really, it made sense.
They passed a corner where one sub was basically hog-tied on a padded table. Her Dom fucked her mouth energetically while another couple sat on the sofa nearby watching. Only they weren’t just watching; the woman was naked from the waist down and bouncing up and down on the guy’s cock as they watched. At the next station, there was a guy who looked like a professional bodybuilder cuffed to the wall. A cage surrounded his cock, and an older man was flogging his chest, while the bodybuilder moaned and pleaded for more.
On and on they walked, Ronnie’s blood heating more and more with every scene they observed. Conner was casual next to her, but attentive. Explaining some things or asking what she’d wanted to try. There was very little she wouldn’t be interested in trying with the right partner.
When Conner shifted them toward the dance floor and started to move their bodies together, she realized he just might be that partner. He wasn’t Ian, but he was here. And judging by the hardness behind his zipper when he brushed against her, he was interested.
The song changed to something deeper, sexier, and Conner reached out, pulling her flush against his body. She looked into his eyes and moved with him, the slow-burning fire in her gut spreading through her body at the desire in his gaze. His mouth tilted up at one corner, and he spun her around. Strong hands moved lightly over her ribs and settled low on her hips, pulling her butt back against his hardness just as she spotted Ian and Simon watching them from the bar.

CHAPTER SIX

    He couldn’t do it.
He couldn’t pretend Ronnie was just another trainee. She wasn’t. Deep down, he’d recognized that the minute he’d read her application, which was why he’d hesitated. From the first time he’d met her and seen the anger, grief, and loneliness swirling in her big dark eyes, they’d had a connection. It was why he’d run from her when he was eighteen and hurting, and why he’d hesitated about letting her join the club.
But he wasn’t eighteen anymore, and he wasn’t going to hesitate anymore.
Setting his beer down on the bar, he picked up his duffle bag and strode toward the dance floor. She saw him coming. He knew it when her luscious lips made a nice round O of surprise and she froze mid-dance. When he stopped at the edge of the floor, she frowned.
Ian stood there, waiting. He wasn’t going to go tear her out of another man’s arms. He wanted her to come to him. He wanted it more than he’d ever believed possible.
He watched as she turned her head and leaned into Conner. Her lips moved as she spoke to him, but her gaze never left Ian. Then she was moving again, coming to him, and he could breathe again.
“You have a choice,” he said when she stopped in front of him. “Here, or my place.”
She didn’t even blink. “Your place.”
He held out his hand, and she placed hers in it. Neither of them spoke another word as they left the club. When they got to the parking lot and he led her to his car, she balked, and it was like a fist to the gut.
“I’m not leaving my car here,” she said.
He closed his eyes and breathed deep. Everything was okay; she wasn’t changing her mind. “I want you with me,” he said. “I’ll drive.”
Her eyebrows jumped. “Uh uh. Nobody drives Delilah but me.”
    “Excuse me?”
“Uhmm.” The struggle was clear on her face. She wanted to please him, but she really really
