my lap.
We all stood and walked out of the trailer, Chase wanted me to walk them to their vehicle so I did.  Kim cried, Mike laughed at Kim, and Chase broke my heart when he started to cry and told me he would miss me. Chase stared at me and smiled until he couldn’t see me anymore.  When I got back over to the trailer everybody was already standing around with their bags ready to leave. “What the fuck are you guys in a hurry?” I asked and looked down at my watch.   “Never mind, let’s go find Carley to see if she’s ready to take us.” I grabbed my bag out of the trailer and locked the doors.  I sent Cameron a text to let him know that we were getting ready to leave and that the trophy and all my winnings were locked inside the trailer.  He sent me a text back to let me know again how proud he was of me and that they would see us in a couple of days.  We found Carley at her step brother’s trailer patiently waiting for us.
“Ya’ll do know all of us won’t fit in my car right?” She said and laughed.
Her step brother handed her the keys to his Ford dually, he shook my hand, “That was a hell of a race man, you earned that title.  We’ll come visit you in Ohio in a few weeks.”
“Sounds good, thanks for letting us take your pick up.  If I had to hear that CD one more time I’d end up walking to the airport.”
We all laughed then got in the pickup, Carley asked if Chassis and Asher knew that we were flying back tonight. I told her no and that she better not tell them.  “Cross my heart I’ll keep my mouth shut.” She said and made and X over her chest.
As we cruised down the freeway Carley asked, “So how mad were you about watching us the other night?”
I crouched down in the seat, pulled my hat over my eyes, “I was more pissed she wouldn’t let me join.”
“Jet you couldn’t handle the both of us.” She said and laughed.
“Right…you mean YOU couldn’t handle what Chassis does on a daily basis.” I said around a yawn.
“Oh my god…you men I swear!” she said with an irritated but playful growl.
I dozed off at some point and was woke up when Jason yanked the door open and I nearly fell onto the pavement at the airport.  Everybody around laughed then we walked into the airport.  It wasn’t very busy but Mitch kept setting off the metal detector, even after he had emptied his pockets.  Finally they ran a yellow wand up and down his body, he started laughed but stopped when the large black security guard glared at him.  “Sir do you have a piercing on your privates?” the guy asked an irritated tone.
    “Yep!” Mitch stated proudly.
“I’m sorry sir but you’ll need to take it out then cross through the detector again and you won’t be allowed to put it back in until your flight has landed.”
    “You can’t be serious!”
The large security guard raised one eyebrow and pointed to a small room marked PRIVATE, “You can go remove it in there sir.”
“Unfuckingbelivable.  I’ve flown to how many games and never had to remove the mother fucker before!” Mitch practically yelled.
The security guard crossed his arms over his chest, “What GAMES?”
“I play defensive end for Ohio State University!”
“What’s your name son?” the large guard asked still not backing down.
    “Mitch Hesstin.”
The guard shook his head, “Well I’ll be damned, I knew you looked familiar.  I will let you through this time, in the future let the security know BEFORE it gets that far.”
Jason, Jerod, and I looked at Mitch and shook our heads, “In all the years we’ve known you, we didn’t know you had your dick pierced.” Jason said and kept shaking his head.
“Pussy, you should do it, the chicks love it!” Mitch said as we stepped up to the counter.  The clerk was an elderly lady, with too much makeup, and too much perfume on and she moved at a snails pace.  After she finally handed our tickets back they called for our flight to board.
