every other person still staring silently at them.
“Come, let us eat now that your punishment is done.” He extended a hand to her and she gratefully took it. He bent down to whisper into her ear. “We will eat and retire to my cell. I am proud of you for your response to me. You proved to the males that I am truly your master. For you to orgasm during punishment is a testament to your master’s control.”
Maggie glanced at his face and noted the smirk and laughter in his eyes. She wanted to be angry. Wanted to feel indignation for being taken in front of others, but if she was honest with herself, she had absolutely enjoyed it and having an audience flavored the experience with naughtiness more than humiliation. She’d think about that revelation later when she wasn’t being watched by more than twenty other people.
He led her to a different table and signaled to one of the other males. He pulled her onto his lap, encircling her with his arms. Within a few moments they had two platters and two metal cups set in front of them. Nothing on the platters looked familiar, but the food smelled good. She realized that she hadn’t eaten anything for quite some time. She had dinner the night she was taken, but it felt like that was at least a day and a half ago.
“Let me feed you. I want to apologize for the punishment, and feeding you by hand will make me feel better.” Raharan stroked her face with a finger before picking up a piece of a breadlike item and brought it to her mouth. “This is sweet. I think you’ll like it.”
Maggie was astonished. He had been so angry with her minutes ago and now was feeding her with his own hand, tempting her with sweet foods. She opened her mouth for him like a baby bird and bit into the soft bread. It was sweet with a taste similar to honey. She closed her eyes and chewed, relishing the taste and texture. It was similar to a cake or sweet bread in texture. She smiled as she opened her eyes wide and her stomach growled loudly. She definitely hadn’t eaten recently, and her body was finally voicing its opinion on the matter.
“Have more. Once you are full, we will go back to my cell,” he told her, while holding out another bite of the bread. He chuckled as her stomach growled loudly again. “It may take me some time to tame that beast you have in your belly.”

Chapter 6

“You told me that you were being taken to a mine to work. How long have you been on this ship?” Maggie sat on the bed with her legs tucked up under her. After breakfast she had been carried to the bathing room and allowed to shower. Then they had come back to the cell.
“I was captured seven weeks ago during a battle. My ship was boarded and then blown up once my men and I were transferred to this ship. My guess is that we have three to four more weeks before we reach Terrax,” Raharan answered.
“What will happen to me once we get there? Will they let me come with you?”
“You are mine. Where I go, you are going to be. The Xeltec know how territorial we are and are unlikely to try and separate us from the females they’ve given us.” A growl rumbled through his chest. Possessiveness radiated from him in waves. “I will fight for you if it comes to that.”
“Okay, so explain to me what happened in the cafeteria. I don’t want to make you angry again. What are the normal behaviors for a female?”
“Our females are submissive and are taught from a young age to be as such. Females that are claimed are not to respond to other males unless allowed by their masters. Do you not have these types of relationships on your planet?” He scowled.
“Some females allow a male to take a dominant role over their lives, but most are independent and are not restricted in any way by their males. Can you explain to me what you deem submissive? I want to make you happy when we’re together, so help me understand, please.” Maggie wrung her hands. She was getting the impression that their society
