His towel hung dangerously low at his hips. She could see the sword tattoo that adorned his left side. It looked as if her initials were still there. She remembered her eighteenth birthday with such clarity.

"You sure you want to do this, angel?" He tucked her hair behind her ear, as she waited patiently in the chair for the tattoo artist to set up his station. In a few minutes, they'd have matching tattoos. Hers wouldn't be as large as his, and she didn't want a sword running through the hearts, but she'd have his initials in the same font, and two hearts that matched the ones on his skin.
"I want your initials on my body just like mine are on yours." Since Trevor was over twenty-one, he had been able to get his tattoo with her initials months ago. Lila had to wait until the state said she was legal. He'd asked her what she wanted for her birthday, and she'd told him: ink.
"Then I'll always belong to you, the same way you do to me." He smiled. "It'll say so, right here." He ran his finger down her hip. "Every time we make love, I'll press my lips to it."
She felt her cheeks heat up as she glanced at the tattoo guy. He seemed to be
oblivious to their conversation. Trevor leaned into her ear. "I'll run my tongue along it on my way to that sweet, little pussy of yours."

"Lila?"
"Huh?" She stared at Trevor's bare chest. "What?"
"Are you okay? You look flush and you were a million miles away."
"You kept my initials?" She blurted out the words before she could stop herself.
"What?" He looked confused.
"Your tattoo." She pointed to his side, just above his hip.
He glanced down as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Yeah, I guess I did. I noticed last night you'd kept mine."
"You saw that much, huh?"
"I tried not to look." He glanced at the floor. "But, you are beautiful."
"Thanks for not taking advantage of me. I don't know what got into me." She handed him his hot chocolate. "Are you warming up?"
"Yeah." He took the mug from her and smiled when he noticed the
marshmallows. "I put some more wood on the fire."
"Here" She tossed him the blanket, just as the lights flickered. "Oh, great."
"I wondered when we were going to lose power. Most of the town is already
out." He sat down on the floor by the sofa. "It's a good thing you had all these candles lit."
"Your clothes," she said. "The dryer?"
"I'm fine." He placed the blanket over his legs. "The heat of the fire will keep me warm."
"Are you hungry? I could make you something to eat." She needed a distraction because, in that moment, all she could think about was his naked body.
"I ate before I made my way out here."
"Why didn't you just call? It could have saved you the trip." She was glad he hadn't called. She didn't realize how much she'd wanted him here, until he'd shown up a few minutes ago.
"I wanted to see you." He patted on the floor for her to sit next to him. "I couldn't stop thinking about you."
She hesitated for a moment. Could she really sit that close to him, knowing he
was completely naked under that blanket and towel?
Grow up!
She plopped down next to him. "I've been thinking a lot about you, too. We shared some great times. When I look back at the time we spent together, I'm always left smiling. When it was good, it was really good."
"And when it was bad?"
"It was really bad." She laughed. "We were pretty wild."
"It kept things interesting between us. You were feisty." He rolled his eyes. "I seem to remember getting more than one drink thrown in my face."
"You deserved it."
"I'm sure I did." He tucked her hair behind her ear. "It's darker."
"My hair?"
"And, you don't have bangs anymore." He moved his hand through her hair, running his fingers from her scalp to the ends.
She liked the way it felt.
"I missed touching you."
She closed her eyes as he ran his fingers along her cheek and down her neck.
"You're so beautiful."
"Trev." She leaned into his touch. "I don't think—"
"Don't think. That's
