no cell service that far away from town.  She almost
didn't care if she got lost or abducted out in the boonies; at least she would
not be stuck here with him any longer.
    “Come
on...Maggie!  Would you just look at me?”  He shouted at her and pulled on her
arm, but she resisted and turned farther away from him.  “I can explain, I
swear...”  His tone had turned sweeter as he began to plead apologetically.
    “Explain
what?  That you're a greedy bastard?  That you only care about getting yourself
off?”  Maggie spat, finally breaking her five-minute silence and glaring at him
with rage.
    “What?
No...I...Fuck it, Mags!  I'm done!” he argued and quickly left the backseat, stuffing
his now flaccid cock back into his jeans.  He zipped his jeans too quickly and
almost caught his skin in the zipper as he threw himself into the driver's
seat.  He gripped the steering wheel tightly for a moment, trying to calm
himself down, but he felt every vein in his head throbbing.  “Now would you get
the fuck up here?  I'm taking you home!”
    How
dare he do this to me again , she thought.  How can he do this
every damn time?   Maggie reluctantly opened her door and moved to the front
seat, her eyes filling with tears from anger more than from any kind of hurt or
sadness.  She was glad that the car had bucket seats and not a bench seat so
she could be as far away from him as possible.  She didn't even want to see
him, let alone be stuck in close quarters with him.  She inched a little
farther closer to the door and away from him as she buckled her seat belt.
Their silence hung like a heavy veil in the car, and she angrily pushed his
hand away when he reached out to caress her thigh.
    “Just
take me home...now....please,” she said trying to hold back her tears.
    Shane
put the key in the ignition of the 1974 Pontiac Ventura GTO, and the motor
hesitated to turn over.
    Great,
just what we need now , she thought, shaking her head in disgust.  A
dead battery.
    He
waited a minute, tried it again, and the engine came to life.  They were both
relieved and wanted this night to be over as soon as possible.  She cursed him
out in her head for not even being able to have a dependable running vehicle at
his age.  He had bragged that he got a steal when he bought the car and rebuilt
the motor himself, and whatever GTO meant, she didn’t know or care, but he
always talked like it was something special.
    Some
deal he got and some Mr. Fix-It he is , she thought sarcastically
as they pulled back onto the dirt road.  Shane slammed his foot on the
accelerator and spun the tires, spitting loose gravel behind the car, and
headed back to the highway.
    “And
turn off this fucking shit!” she added angrily and reached to turn off the
droning country-western music that he was fond of, which he knew she hated.
    The
evening had started well, and they seemed to share the same sense of humor, had
enjoyed a movie together, and then got a bite to eat at Flanagan's.  She
normally couldn’t stomach bar food which she generally found greasy and
inedible, but the pub prided itself on serving higher quality food than most
and maintained a nice dining area with traditional Irish pub decor. Shane's
uncle played fiddle in the céilí band, even if he was not
Irish, and Maggie enjoyed the lively music.  They had a couple drinks, flirted,
and seemingly everything was going well.
    Maggie
was dropping all of the right hints that she wasn't ready for the night to be
over, so when they left the pub, Shane suggested they go for a drive before
calling it a night.  It was a nice moonlit evening, and before long, it would
be getting too cold to enjoy evenings like this, so they drove about twenty
minutes outside of the city limits with the windows down to enjoy the cool,
fresh air before Shane pulled off of the main highway and into a wooded area.
He took the key from the ignition, and without a word, climbed into the
backseat of the
