marry a girl I couldn’t stand. I was jealous watching Sean and Maddie hold each other. I wanted that. Sean didn’t deserve that; I did. That wasn’t fair , I thought. I knew I wasn’t mad at him, I was just jealous. After we ate and had hours of fun, we were shown to our rooms. Barb and I had a room in the guest house. She still hadn’t said a word to me. I grabbed a pillow and blanket and went to sleep on the couch in the living room.
    ***
I was woken up by Sean yelling in my face. “I’m fucking getting married today, bitches!”
“Not cool. I’m glad you’re getting married, but did you have to wake me?”
“Sean, really? I was having a great dream,” Barb said while coming out of the bedroom.
“Sorry Barb. Maddie texted me earlier and asked if you could help her get ready.”
She gave me a look. “As long as I am away from him.” She rolled her eyes. Sean told her where to find Maddie and she left without saying a word to me.
“Jeb, don’t let this girl get to you.”
    “Who, Barb?”
“No, Toria. She’s nothing but trouble, and she will just bring you down. Now, let us celebrate my day.”
We got ready for the wedding, and then went to get pictures done. Maddie looked stunning, almost like a princess. She was so good for him, and I just hoped he didn’t fuck it up. After the wedding, it was time to party. Maddie was glad that they were moving back her so Sean could work with me. He would start in a couple of weeks after his honeymoon. We all partied until the sunset. We all watched Sean and Maddie ride off, and shortly after that Barb and I said our goodbyes and we headed home. She still didn’t say a word to me until we pulled up to the condo.
“Remember, either you get rid of the homeless bitch or I will tell my father to say no to that business deal.”
She walked into our bedroom and slammed the door. I guess it was to be another night on the couch.

Chapter Eleven
    Toria
The weekend went by so quick. After the club Friday, I decided to do a lot of thinking. Do I really want to work with this guy when he’s friends with Sean? I sat up on the couch, and looked at the clock on the cable box. Ten in the morning. I had to get up and get ready for my first day on the job. Vanessa had to be at work that morning
She was riding my ass all weekend about my drug problem, and it was getting on my nerves. I liked her, but I’d rather live on the street and be alone then listen to people tell me I have a problem. I got up and went to my clothes. I hid the pills in some clean underwear so Vanessa wouldn’t find them and flush them.
I got out a pill and counted the ones I had lift. “Shit.”
I only had three left. I really needed some more. Maybe I could go to that building on East Street. It was where Mitch had been to get our drugs. I got up and took two of them so I could make it through work. Thinking of Mitch, I remembered what Vanessa had told me recently. His withdrawals were horrible, and he was puking and had the shakes. And he still didn’t want to see me, which made this whole situation worse. I didn’t want to have to go through any of that. I’d rather stay high so I could make money.
I walked over to the kitchen table and there was a note with an envelope.
    Toria-
Hey, I am going to Tony’s after work, so I left you cash. Please use it to get a cab, and to get food for the week. I trust that you won’t spend it otherwise. Here is my cell number: 555-6987. Call me when you are ready to come home tonight. Have a great day. Oh yeah, make sure you take that money. You can pay me back when you can.
    Vanessa
I was surprised to see one-hundred dollars in the envelope.  She wouldn’t know if it was used for pills, at least part of it, though I did feel a little bad about betraying her. Still, selling my body or virginity for pills was out of the question. I’d sucked dick before, but doing that was also not happening. I
