to cook. I enjoy food.”
She glanced at his perfect body and lifted a brow.
“Please, I’ve been friends with Scott since we were kids. I know my way around a gym. And Travis and I play basketball three times a week.”
“I’m definitely not complaining,” she murmured around another bite.
    “You still run every morning?”
“I try to,” she admitted. “I don’t set an alarm on the weekend. My internal clock usually wakes me early no matter what time I go to bed.”
“We wore you out last night.”
“You did,” she agreed, lifting a forkful of omelet to his lips. “And I enjoyed every moment of it.” She took a drink of coffee while he ate.
“Maybe we can go for a run together once breakfast settles?” Kyle suggested.
“I’d like that,” she said with a nod.
“We’ve missed out on so much over the years,” Kyle stated gruffly.
    “What do you mean?”
“We sat back and waited, which is out of character for all of us. But we did it for you because we didn’t want to lose you.”
    “Why would you lose me?”
“By making a move when you weren’t interested in being more than friends. By wanting you to pick, knowing the two not chosen would be hurt. Last night… I hope it’s the start of something for all of us.” He stopped and shook his head.
    “What?” she asked.
“Every time I see you, you take my breath away. I remember when Chuck told us his girlfriend was coming over and bringing her best friend. He ordered us to behave around you. We were a little pissed off and bitter about sharing our space. Then you walked in, and I damn near swallowed my tongue.”
“God, I looked awful back then.”
“You couldn’t look awful if you tried.”
    “I—”
“Stop,” he said, putting his finger against her lip. “You’ve always been beautiful to us, and that won’t change.”
“Thank you. I’ve always thought you were the beautiful one. You should have taken up modeling. You certainly have the looks for it.”
“I am devastatingly handsome,” he quipped and turned his head to pose for her. Then he laughed. “Yeah, I don’t have the patience for that. I’d much rather be curled up at home with a good book then hamming it up in front of a camera.”
“Good grief, you just get sexier and sexier.”
He reached out and took the tray, lifting then standing with it. “I’ll just put this in the kitchen and grab some shorts out of the gym bag I keep in the car. By the time we change, and I clean up the kitchen, we should be good to go.”
“You don’t have to clean the kitchen,” she assured him. “And there’s no way I can run right after eating. I usually run on an empty tummy and grab breakfast when I get back.”
“Point taken and agreed,” Kyle said. “So we’ll move out to the couch and see if there’s anything on television this early. Do they still do Saturday morning cartoons?”
    “Cartoons?” she asked.
“It’s either that or join you in bed, and we both know where that would lead.” His gaze softened as it caressed her. “I’m sure you’re still a little sore from last night. I’m hoping if I keep my hands off now, you’ll be ready for another round tonight.”
“I’m sure I will,” she agreed.
“Then I’ll meet you in the kitchen,” Kyle said and headed back out her bedroom door.
She sat for a long moment and just soaked it all in. Her dreams were starting to come true. The practical side of her wanted to break through the joy blanket and hit her with questions. How was this going to work? Did she really think she could hold the attention of three men? What happened when jealousy reared its head? But the happy part of her put that side in a choke hold and shut the bitch up. There would be time for those questions later. Much later.
She threw back the covers and hopped out of bed. She’d never been so happy to start a day and see where it took her.
