Amanda. I will. I had a great time and everyone was very friendly, just like you said.” She seemed like a sweet girl. Her husband, James, had been the instructor of the new member orientation. They looked so in love, Meri had to give this a try.
“I’ve got an early meeting and have to scoot. It was nice seeing you again, Amanda. Take care.” As she turned to Ted, she had no idea what to say—especially in front of Amanda.
“Let me walk you out. Do you have your keys?”
Meri started to dig through her purse. Shit, she hadn’t dropped them in their normal pocket. She hoped they hadn’t fallen out and were still in the locker.
“Always have your keys in your hand before you leave a building. The club is in a nice neighbourhood, but you can never be too safe.”
“All the men here are crazy about security, Meri. Just smile and nod. It’s the easiest way to handle them.” Amanda grinned.
Meri watched Ted shake his finger at Amanda and both women busted out laughing.
“I found them,” Meri held them up like a prize.
With a quick wave to Amanda, Meri accepted Ted’s hand and allowed him to lead her out of the club. She pointed towards her car and he walked with her to the driver’s side.
“I hope to see you tomorrow.” Ted slid a lock of hair behind her ear as he pinned her between his body and the door.
Meri revelled for a moment in the heat and feel of his body. Damn, he was everything she’d dreamed a Dom would be.
Unwilling to sound like a desperate teen experiencing her first crush, she used her clicker to unlock her car. She stalled and hoped to think of something to say. When nothing came to mind, she kissed his cheek. “I’ll try.”
“I don’t remember spending a more pleasant evening. Thank you.”
Blushing, she looked at the ground. She could still feel his erection pressing into her soft belly. How could he say that when he was still unsatisfied? It didn’t make any sense to her, but she refused to argue with him. If he says he had a good time, he had a good time.
“It certainly beat my normal routine of Sudoku and wine, followed by a chapter or two of a romance novel.”
“A woman with your passion should never spend an evening alone, Meri. Come visit me tomorrow.” Ted whispered his temptation along her neck, sending goosebumps down her body.
“Okay, I’ll try.” To do that she’d have to go shopping on her lunch break and purchase something to wear, and this time she needed to think it through a bit more.
He raised his eyebrow. “What’s stopping you from committing?”
She laughed. “No, I think I’d rather keep that bit of information secret. It’s too girly to admit out loud, but I promise, I will try to be here.”
“A sub should never keep secrets from her Dom,” he growled.
“Are you my Dom?” Meri stole a glance at his face and watched a frown touch his lips.
“I was this evening and hope to be again in the near future.” He traced his finger along her bottom lip.
Meri was feeling a little bratty and a smidge desperate. “Then I guess my secret is safe for a short time.”
Ted replaced his finger with his mouth. He gave her a tender kiss until he pulled her bottom lip between his teeth and gave her a gentle bite.
She was startled as a fire lit within her. Oh, all right. She’d be here tomorrow even if it meant wearing street clothes.
“You, my dear lady, are a brat, and I will take great pleasure in training you to behave.”

“I’ll be in the security office,” Ted muttered as he walked past Amanda.
Meri was getting under his skin, and he didn’t like it even a little bit. Well, maybe a little bit. As he entered the office, he was relieved to see it empty. Technically, he was within his purview. He was part owner of the club and had access to any and all records, but he preferred to manage the toy end of the business. While he enjoyed being the Dungeon Master Supervisor and even took the role as Dom in Residence on
