now, as
she looked into his beautiful, vulnerable eyes.
    “Of course I do,” she
whispered.
    “Well then, tell me,” he
said, as he looked in her eyes earnestly.
    “I love you.”
    She said the three simple
but significant words quietly but without any further hesitation.
    That was obviously more
than good enough for Logan. He smiled and kissed her softly on the lips, then
more deeply.
    “Take your clothes off,”
he ordered.
    Never one to take orders,
Charlotte nevertheless found herself turned on by his dominance. As he twisted,
pulling off his jeans and shirt, she removed her clothes. Almost as soon as
she’d stripped herself naked, Logan crawled over her and parted her bare thighs
with a nudge of his right hand before pushing himself deep inside of her again,
his hips rolling forward. She gasped at the heady mix of pleasure and slight
pain, while clinging to his waist, as he began to make love to her again.
Sex with Logan was, and would
always be, a tiring experience for her. He was quite demanding, both physically
and emotionally. She'd later discover he had a large, even voracious, sexual appetite.
He'd been struggling to suppress and hide it from her during their initial courting.
    While they lay together in
each other’s arms after their second encounter, he asked her to move in with
him. It was yet another unexpected request. Charlotte didn’t know whether she
was ready for that significant, as well as a life changing step. Between her
hormones, her physical exhaustion and everything that had already taken place,
she didn't know what to say.
    This night had already
been so huge for her. They'd made love for the first time. She'd told Logan she
loved him after never telling anyone outside of her parents that during her
entire life and now this. Her head was spinning. She could barely process his
request.
    Charlotte had never lived
with anyone before, not even a female friend. Her previous relationships with
men had always been short term and casual. She'd see them only once or twice a
week, at the most. They'd both maintain their own separate lives, residences and
existences.
    Things had been different
with Logan since the beginning. She'd seen him very frequently and he called
her constantly when they weren't together. He didn’t want any short term or
casual relationship with Charlotte. He wanted to be with her twenty-four hours
a day, seven days a week. He wanted to spend every waking minute with her.
    She found this level of
adoration endearing, touching even. He was so much in love with her, he felt as
though he couldn't get enough of her. Yet, still— living together ? That
was a terribly huge and scary step for her.
    “I don’t understand why
we’d want to be apart when we love each other so much,” he said simply, making this
extremely important decision all seem so obvious and easy.
    “I don’t know, Logan,”
she hesitated. “It just…it’s such a big step and it's so fast. Living
together…”
    “Alright,” he shrugged.
“You don’t have to. I’m not going to pressure you into anything. It was just an
idea.”
    Despite his words, she
could see he felt differently. It was obvious he was hurt by her reluctance. He
looked so wounded. Charlotte felt simply awful. She wanted to make him happy.
She hated seeing him upset or hurting, and knowing it was because of her made
her feel even worse.
    Sadly, the afterglow of
their lovemaking was soured by her rejection.
    Logan removed his arm
from around her shoulders and got up out of the bed, heading off out of the
room without saying a word. Initially, she’d assumed he was going to the
bathroom and he’d be back soon. However, when after ten minutes, he still
hadn’t returned, she got up to find him. She reached for her dressing gown,
throwing it on over her naked body as she crept out into the hallway.
    “Logan?” She knocked on
the closed, bathroom door. There was no answer. “Logan, are you in there?” She
turned the handle slowly
