the past that made you want to call me to listen to what he had to say today?” He crossed his arms across his perfectly sculpted chest.
She just stared at him as she took another drink from her beer bottle. She knew he would want to know , but thought he wouldn’t ask right away. “It doesn’t matter. It’s in the past and I don’t need to bring it up.”
He glared at her and she didn’t give in. “Fine , but I don’t like knowing he has hurt you in some way and you don’t trust me enough to tell me.”
She wouldn’t say she didn’t trust him, but she didn’t want him to think that she was weak and not worthy of him. She sat her beer on the kitchen table and walked to him, he was leaning against the wall. She reached up and took his face in her hands. “Stefan it’s not that I don’t trust you, but I’m ashamed. We are getting to know each other, maybe in time I will tell you everything that has happened in my life, but right now I want to take it slow.”
He arched his dark eyebrows at her. “I thought you wa nted to be just fuck buddies?” He wrapped an arm around her back and pulled her closer to him.
“I do, I’m not saying I want to be your girlfriend or anything.” She hadn’t had anytime to be herself.
He smiled down at her. “I understand and I will take you anyway I can get you.”
She stared at his lips as he slowly lowered them down to hers. She moved her fingers to his hair to tangle and to bring his mouth closer to hers.
“You are so fucking beautiful, do you know that?”
Now she looked up at him and he was staring into her eyes. “And you are a sweet talker.”
He grinned at her, and rubbed the tip of his nose against hers. “Sometimes I am, but right now I’m not. I’m only telling the truth, you take my breath away.” She felt her face heat up with his words. “Look at me.” She did, and she knew she was a goner for him. She thought she was going to see anger when she did, but she didn’t. He smiled at her. “I will leave this alone for now as long as you promise me you’re fine.”
“I am.” She bit her bottom lip as she stared into his stunning hazel green eyes. When she thought about spending the night with him, she didn’t want to talk about her soon to be ex-husband, she wanted his mouth and wicked tongue to work his magic on her. She had to admit that he looked amazing in his police uniform. She slowly moved her hands to his chest. “Can we be done talking? I want you and I don’t want to wait any longer.” She beamed up at him and she watched a smile tug at the corner of his full lips.
“What did you have in mind?”
“You and me naked…on my kitchen table.”
He shook his he ad and laughed. She took that moment to start unbuttoning his shirt, and she kept her eyes on his. At the last button she ran her hands back up his hard abdomen to his astonishing chest, and then to his shoulders to remove his police shirt. He stood in her kitchen wearing a white tank top, his black pants, his holster that held his gun, radio, nightstick and his handcuffs. As her eyes landed on the cuffs, she remembered she wanted to try out those in her bed with her bedpost. “Oh my, Officer Romano, I do like you in your uniform.” She never would have thought she’d have a thing for men in uniform, but after seeing him in his, she had it bad.
“I will do my best to remember that.” He reached around to his back to un fasten his belt and he gently set it on the ground next to his shirt. He lifted her as if she weighed nothing, it made her giggle. “I believe I heard something about the kitchen table?”
She nodded and brought her lips to his rough jaw, it made him groan. He sat her on the table with him between her legs. She wrapped her legs around his back to pull him closer to her. His warm sweet peppermint lips hovered above her, and she wanted his kiss more than ever. Arching her back she received what she aimed for, her lips brushed against his. She wrapped
