to be so bold. Maybe it was the wine or maybe it was just the desire I had for this man.

Peter moved his hand from my breast and wrapped it around my waist. Pulling me closer to his body, he placed his lips on mine and gently kissed me. The minute his tongue entered my mouth, I was lost. I wanted him more than any man I had ever wanted. Peter lifted me from the floor and gently placed me on the bed. Just when I thought he was going to have me, he pulled his body from mine and pulled the covers over me.

"Don't you want me?" I asked with confusion.

"More than you will ever know, Lilly. But I can't take you the way you are." Peter leaned over and gave me a tender kiss on my forehead. "Go to sleep and we'll talk in the morning."

"Can you at least stay with me?"

"I can do that," he replied as he slowly crawled into bed beside me still fully clothed.

As much as I wanted him, I settled on him being next to me. So when he pulled me to his side and wrapped his arms around me, I was content. Being next to the warmth of his body was all I needed. Within minutes my eyes closed and I entered a blissful sleep.

    ~****~

Waking up in the morning, my head was pounding. I knew I shouldn't have drunk all that wine. As I rolled over, I felt an empty space beside me. I wasn't too drunk to remember that Peter had slept with me. I tried to keep my eyes open, but the sun shining through the blinds was causing even more pain to my throbbing head. Pulling on the blind cord, I adjusted the amount of sunlight coming through. Rolling on my other side, I noticed a small note, two ibuprofen tablets, along with a full glass of water sitting on the nightstand. Picking up the note, I read the words, 'Take these and drink the full glass of water' in very neat handwriting. I took the two tablets in my hand and popped them into my mouth. When I had the full glass of water down, I rolled back over on my back and closed my eyes.

I wasn't sure what time it was, but my phone was going off like crazy. Lifting my body from my bed, I headed into the kitchen to retrieve my phone and turn off the annoying sound. It was only then that I noticed a pot of coffee had already been made. Leaning up against a lone coffee mug on the counter was another note. As shitty as I felt, I couldn't help but smile. Walking to the coffee mug, I picked up the note. This one was a little longer.

I can only imagine how you’re feeling this morning. I have boiled you some eggs and there is fresh fruit in the fridge. I'm guessing that you have slept most of the morning, but we need to talk. Call me as soon as you are done eating and have showered.
    Peter

Rolling my eyes at the note, I opened the fridge and took out the two hard-boiled eggs and the small bowl of fruit. Next, I poured myself a mug full of coffee and added my favorite creamer. As I was sitting at the bar, it occurred to me why I was drinking last night to begin with. Walking over to the front door, I looked through the peephole. "Yep, still there," I said out loud as I walked back to the kitchen. One thing was certain, Peter and I were definitely going to have a talk.

Just as I was finishing getting dressed, there was a knock at my door. I thought it was kind of strange considering I had a 6'5" alpha-male standing outside my door. Taking a quick look at myself in the mirror, even though I wasn't a hundred percent, I looked pretty good. When I pulled the door open, I was surprised to see Peter standing next to Cop. Normally it would have been a woman's dream to see two gorgeous, hunky men standing in front of her, but for me, it was only annoying.

Stepping aside, I watched as Peter entered my condo. God, he looked good , I thought to myself. Shutting the door, I turned to face him. "I thought you wanted me to call you when I was ready."

"Couldn't wait any longer," he said, taking his place on the couch.

I took my spot on the chair beside him. We sat for what
