Mark and Misty walked into the party. Misty was nervous. Misty saw Vince before he saw her. But when he did, he couldn ’t tare his eyes from her. Misty took a deep breath. She squeezed Kimmys arm and started walking towards Vince. He stepped towards her and she stopped. He stopped when he saw her close her eyes and take deep breath. She opened them and continued to walk towards him. Vince just stood there. He was afraid she would turn and walk away if he took another step. And she was coming to him and he didn’t want to scare her away. It seemed like it took forever for her to reach him. When she got there they just stared at each other.
“ Misty.” Vince said her name so softly and smiled.
    Misty smiled . “Vince.”
He went to reach out and touch her face but she pulled back.
    “Please Vince.”
“ Sorry Misty, you’re so beautiful.”
They stood there for a few seconds just looking at each.
“Do you want to go outside and talk Vince?”
    “ About what Misty?”
“ Kimmy and Mark told me what happened at the fair Vince,” she looked at him.
Vince looked towards Kimmy and Mark.
“ Kimmy is my sister and she was concerned.”
“ I am over it,” he snapped.
“ I don’t think so Vince. It has been 6 months since you walked out my door. And you reacted like that last weekend. And the sound of it, you’re not over it Vince. I wasn’t afraid to go out any more or date. But after what Kimmy told me Vince I am. And I don’t want to be.”
Vince looked at her. And the thoughts of her being with someon e else started getting to him. “I don’t think I can talk right now Misty. I am afraid of what I might do.” His voice sounded low and chilling.
“ Why are you afraid? Are you going to do something to me Vince? What drives you to it?”
“I don’t know Misty! I don’t know what drives me to it.” He started to shake.
“ Yes you do Vince, you know. But you have to admit things to yourself and deal with them.”
Vince took a step forward. But when he realized people were around. He knew he had to keep his composer. Misty saw his reactions. She knew she would be okay as long as people were around. She felt a lot better.
“You do things to me Misty.”
Misty looked at him . “You were only a fantasy to me Vince, a onetime thing. Something I should have never done. I have regretted it because my fantasy turned into a nightmare.” Misty got braver.
When she said those words it hurt Vince. He took another step towards Misty. But this time Misty didn ’t back up.
“ I want to talk to you alone Misty.” Vince felt his blood rushing.
“ No, I wanted to earlier, but not now.”
    “ I promise Misty, I won’t touch you.”
    “ I can’t trust you Vince.”
“ Then at least let’s go to a quieter place to talk?” He started to calm.
Misty looked around and pointed . “How about over there Vince?”
“ Okay that will be fine.” Vince didn’t know why, but he was feeling strange. Feelings that weren’t normal. Vince followed Misty to the open window. It was hot. Misty was hoping she could feel a breeze from the window. The wind was blowing in gently and she smiled as she leaned out it.
“ Mmm this feels good,” she said not realizing Vince was staring at her.
“ Yes it does.” Vince replied as he leaned out it.
They both looked out into the night enjoying the breeze. It was the same kind of night they had their lustful encounter with each other. They both were silence, then Vince spoke.
“Do you really regret it Misty?”
“ Not then Vince, it was the most incredible night of my life. But it cost me.”
“ If I was different could you see yourself with me?”
Misty took a deep breath . “When I first saw you Vince, my heart almost jumped out of my chest.” She laughed a little. “And when you smiled at me it started beating double time. I started thinking what it would be like. I could tell just by looking at you, you were a man that knew what he wanted. And I
