knew she would have crumbled to the ground.
“Is that what you want, Maggie … to see my place?”
She couldn’t form any words, so instead she nodded.
He stared at her for another second before facing forward again, revving the
engine, and moving back onto the main road. He only drove for about five
minutes before turning onto a dirt one. He maneuvered his bike through the
twisting and turning narrow road until the sight of a very small cabin became
illuminated from his headlight. He pulled the bike to a stop in front of the
cabin and cut the engine. Even though the bike was off Maggie could still feel
the vibrations from it between her legs, or maybe it was the fact she was so
turned over the likelihood she was about to have sex with Diesel.
He dismounted from the bike and turned to help her
off. She took off the helmet and handed it to him. Diesel placed it on a
handlebar, and for a moment all they did was stare at each other. The sexual
tension between them was electric and could have started a forest fire for as
hot and wild as it was. At least that was how she felt, knew that she wasn’t
hiding her lust for him at all, and wondered how this man could be so in
control when she felt anything but. He didn’t say anything, just grabbed her
hand and led her to the front door. He opened it and led her inside and turned
on the light. Maggie stepped inside further and looked around. The place was
very small with an open floor plan. The only door she saw was the one at the
end of the short hallway, and she could see it was the bathroom from the side
of the sink peeking just inside of it. The living room was to the right. There
was one dark brown leather couch that sat in front of a stone and blackened
fireplace. To the left was an equally small kitchen with natural cabinetry and
a stone butcher’s block in the center. There was rustling to her right, and she
looked back to see Diesel removing his cut and placing it on the back of the
couch.
    What in the
hell are you doing, Maggie?
His back was to her, but she could easily make out
the lines of muscles through the thin material. She had never thought backs an
attractive part on a man, but with Diesel’s broad shoulders, the way she could
see the strength in his body as if it were living thing, all the way down to
his narrow hips, she realized every part of this man was attractive in the most
wicked of ways. He turned, and the front view was even more delicious. She
could see the buckle of his belt peek just under the edge of his shirt, and his
jeans looked like they were especially made for him. They were worn, slightly
stained with what looked like grease, but lord, it was the most arousing sight.
“You keep looking at me like that and I won’t be
able to control myself.”
The thought of Diesel going wild on her had a fresh
gush of liquid heat leaving her. He growled low in his throat and stalked
forward with determined steps. Maggie should have stayed put, let him know that
she couldn’t be intimidated, but she found herself moving backward until the
cold wood of the wall behind her stopped any and all retreat.
Diesel stopped when he was a few inches from her,
and the way he looked at her had her toes curling. “You wanted to see my place.”
He kept looking at her but lifted his arm to the side as if emphasizing his
point that this was indeed his place.
    “Yeah.”
He didn’t drop his arm to his side, but instead
placed it on the wall beside her head and leaned in. “But you didn’t want to
come here to look at my shit, did you?”
Oh, she wanted to look, just not at the furniture
kind of things. Maggie wanted to see what he was hiding behind the cotton and
denim. She wanted to run her hands along the hard expanse of his chest, see how
far that ink that covered his entire arm went when he had no clothes on, and she
wanted to hear that gruff voice saying all kinds of dirty things to her. But
before she could answer he started talking again.
    “No, you
