was going to make him say it.
    “Don’t
bullshit me Athena, you were a virgin,” he snapped as he pulled his pants up.
    “Ya
well now I’m not,” I said slowly as I adjusted my dress. Blood smeared my
thighs. I was glad my dress was red so it was hidden. I was unable to meet his
gaze, my body was humming; a feeling I wasn’t used to. I wasn’t sure how I
felt. I was a little shaky and I felt odd. I never planned on losing my
virginity to him, not like this anyway. It happened so fast and I was so
confused. “Can I leave?” I asked softly.
    “Damn
it, yes, just go,” he said softly.
    I
put my hand on the door knob, but hesitated. “If they are really willing to pay
as much as you say, make the deal. I will do it,” I said quietly then opened
the door and left him on the balcony.
    I
walked through the room quickly. I needed to get out of the hotel. I felt a
little better once I was out of the crowd and in the elevator. It was taking
too long. I felt like I was going to cry, but I refused to cry in public. I let
him take my virginity. I knew he was no good and I still let him have me. I was
angry at myself for being so naïve. Once the elevator opened I walked into the
lobby then outside. I waved a taxi down and had him take me home.

    Once
I got home I stripped and got in the shower. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. It
was like I had a weight on my chest. The shower made me feel a little bit
better. I climbed out and wrapped a towel around me. When I walked back out
into my bedroom Naomi was sitting on my bed.
    “Hey,”
she said softly. I could tell by the look on her face that Quinn told her what
happened.
    “Hey,”
I said quietly.
    “Are
you ok?” she asked watching me like I was going to break down any minute.
    “Ya,
I’m good. Why?” I asked softly.
    She
sighed. “Quinn told me what happened on the balcony. I just wanted to make sure
you were ok with the whole thing.”
    I
looked at her for a second then looked back at my drawer. “I’m fine. What
happened was mutual,” I said softly.
    She
scoffed. “That doesn’t matter. Sometimes things happen in the heat of the
moment and once it’s over you wonder what the hell you were thinking.”
    I
smiled. “That is true, but I am fine I promise.”
    She
nodded. “He is willing to forget about you agreeing to sex with clients. He knows
you weren’t thinking straight.”
    I
laughed. “I am fine with it. Being with him helped me realize sex is no big
deal. Sex can be fun and I can make a lot of money,” I said trying to act happy
as I selected some panties.
    She
looked at me like she didn’t believe me. “Ok, but I told you not to mess with
Quinn. He is bad news and you will only get hurt.”
    I
nodded. “Lesson learned, I promise.”
    She
nodded and stood. “I’m here if you need me,” she said and left me to myself.
    I
dressed in a nighty and shorts then walked out to get a glass of water. I was
planning on going to bed and forgetting everything that had happened tonight. I
cussed when someone knocked on the door. I knew Naomi was probably in her room
with her headphones on.
    I
walked to the door and opened it. I was relieved to see it was Edward and not
Quinn. “You left this,” he said offering my jacket.
    I
had completely forgotten about it. “Thanks, you want to come in?” I asked
stepping out of the way for him to enter. He stepped into the living room and I
closed the door. “Do you want a drink, I can make coffee or I have beer,” I
said as I set the jacket on the back of the couch and walked further into the
apartment.
    “Beer
is fine,” he said softly. I walked to the fridge and retrieved a beer. I opened
it and handed it to him.
    “You
didn’t have to come all this way to give me a jacket,” I said amused.
    He
smiled and walked over to the couch. He sat down and looked up at me. “I
didn’t, I also came to check on you. I know what happened and I wanted to make
sure you were ok.”
    I
walked over and sat next to him.
