powers of Fire. To burn away regrets and shine your gentle rays upon me for growth.”
Mabon went to the west. “To the west, I invite the powers of Water. To cleanse me of negativity and purify my thoughts.”
Autumn finally took her spot in the northern part of the circle. “To the north, I invite the powers of Earth. Let your renewing strength bury all ills and open new paths before me.”
The powers slammed into each of them. Their eyes burned with the color of the element they were. The circle flared into place as a bluish-silver fire burned around them. They each felt a tickling sensation as if something wanted to be awakened. The Spirit element was so close.
Our sprit , Mabon thought. We are bound now and forever , he looked at his sister. She gave him a quick nod. They had all heard him.
“The circle is created,” Autumn said. It felt as if an invisible hand was pulling her towards Stefan. She couldn’t stop. At that moment, each of their auras shined brightly. Hers was a forest green, Mabon’s blue, Anatha’s red, Aarawn’s yellow, and Stefan’s white. The reddish black specks swirled through his, but there was something else to it now. She saw each of the element colors swimming around in his.
Autumn held a piece of paper with Stefan’s name on it, and the name of the beast that possessed his body. Anatha came to her, taking the paper, and pulled the black cord from her pocket.
“I bind you Hound of the Hill.” She wrapped the cord around the paper. “I bind you until we can find a cure.” She continued wrapping. “I bind you from your bad behavior and ill will. And do no more harm to Stefan. Let the magic begin without wait.” She finished wrapping. “Harm no more, this be your fate.”
Stefan opened his eyes, body still, and covered in sweat. “Thank you,” he whispered before closing his eyes, drifting into a dreamless sleep.
Autumn didn’t move but spoke clearly. “I thank you power of Earth and dismiss you.”
Anatha did the same. “I thank you power of Fire and dismiss you.”
“Power of Water, my sincere thanks, and I dismiss you,” Mabon said, walking over to his sister.
“I dismiss and thank you, power of Air,” Aarawn said.
Autumn walked to the edge of the circle and cut the knife over the fire. It disappeared. They each felt the bubble of power pop, making their own ears pop with the pressure. Their magic was sucked into the wrapped paper. The overwhelming feeling of the power made Anatha drop it, but Mabon was close enough to catch it before it could hit the floor.
“The circle is open, never gone, as it is always around,” Aarawn whispered.
“We need to go soon,” Mabon said.
“How long will this hold?” Autumn asked.
“I don’t know,” he said. They all looked down at Stefan. “Hopefully until we get to Fontane.”

Chapter 6

Anatha stood at the window. Jaime came up behind her and wrapped her in his arms. She leaned her back against him. “We’ll see each other in a month or two,” she said.
He nodded. “It’s going to be a long month or two. I’ll be okay knowing you’ll be okay.” Although the introduction of her brother made him a bit nervous. They looked exactly alike. They were the same from their height to their small accent. Even their hair was the same brown copper color. But their eyes were so different; hers were burgundy and his were almost yellow. He looked blind. It was the eyes that made him nervous.
She turned in his arms. “I’ll be worrying about you until you come back. You and the others are so accident prone.”
He nodded, thinking about everything they had all been through. He looked down at Anatha. “What’s wrong?”
She shook her head. “I was just thinking.”

“Not hungry?” Rowan asked as he and River sat at the table with Autumn.
“I’m a little nauseous.” She looked down at the great pasta dinner he had created. “I’m sorry. It looks great though.”
    “Worried,” River said,
