man who abandoned his family to fight in a war he didn't really believe in but felt it was the only way to save them. That movie broke Rajan's heart and for six months after the movie wrapped, he just stayed home in bed. His father had to come over and literally drag him off the bed.
But even then, he just didn't feel like facing the world.
Thinking back it was silly to let a movie affect him so deeply but hindsight as they say was twenty-twenty. Taking a breath he allowed his eyes to roam further around.
A throat cleared behind him and Rajan swung
around. Xavier walked shirtless into the large room. Rajan tilted his neck back and pressed his eyes closed for a moment. It was all he needed to count from one to ten backward and forward. He looked at Xavier again, still feeling as though his arousal had simply slammed into his chest.
"You all right?" Xavier wanted to know as he lifted the rope and climbed in.
"Just remembering a movie I made three years ago,"
Rajan replied. It wasn't all a lie. "It was a hard one to film, you know?"
    "What was it about?"
Rajan stared at the way Xavier arched his back as
though stretching the muscles there. "A fighter—a soldier.
He ran away from his family to fight in a war he didn't understand then halfway in when things began getting really bad he found out he was tricked."
    "Oh…"
    "Yeah."
"Why do we always have these awkward silences?"
    "Always? I just met you."
Xavier rested his hands against his hips. "You know what I'm talking about."
    Another awkward pause.
Rajan pointed to the banner he didn't understand.
    "What's Sandan ?"
Xavier's eyes followed his finger. "Oh… it's what you would call a third level or third degree black belt."
    "So you're bad ass, huh?"
    Xavier smiled and looked away.
"Le Gasp! Xavier Crawford, SWAT agent, Sandan karate man is blushing."
"You're a dick, you know that?"
"I have three brothers, trust me, I've been told—so where do we start?"
"Frontal attack. I want you to punch me in the face."
"That's random." Rajan arched a brow. He tilted his head peering pensively at Xavier. "Are you joking?"
    "No. Just do it."
"I'm not going to punch you in the face!"
    "What're you afraid of?"
"Nothing—you don't ask someone to haul off and punch you in the face. Are you crazy? You're a cop!"
Xavier inhaled deeply. "Rajan, I'm trying to teach you something here, all right? So just forget for a minute that I'm a cop. Think of me as the guy wanting to steal your virtue."
Rajan stopped for a moment, blinked at him blankly
then burst out laughing. He laughed so hard he had to lean heavily into the ropes. "My virtue?" Another torrent of laughter rippled from his body until he could hardly breathe. "Oh… oh that's a good one."
    "Okay… I want to steal—I don't know… food
    away?"
"Well, now it's on!" Rajan swung at Xavier.
Skillfully, Xavier sidestepped the fist, grabbed the side of Rajan's arm with one of his before stepping closer to Rajan's body. Using one leg, he kicked Rajan's leg from under him. Rajan yelped as he flipped over before crashing into the ground of the ring.
    Rajan groaned.
"You could have warned me you were going to do that." He moaned. "That fucking hurts."
Xavier knelt beside him and patted his stomach.
"That's half the fun. Come on, let's do it again."
"You're joking right? I'm going to have a bruise tomorrow thanks to you."
Still, Rajan offered his hand and Xavier helped him up. That was followed with attack after attack. No matter what Rajan did, he always ended up on the ground on his back. Finally he just laid there staring up into Xavier's face.
    "This is so not working."
Xavier knelt down and lowered his face closer to
Rajan's. He snaked a hand beneath Rajan's body and
massaged his back. Rajan could feel the cop's breath flowing sweetly over his face. Their eyes locked and the beautiful brown orbs, looking into his soul, shimmered at him. Pushing his shoulder off the ground, Rajan pressed his lips to Xavier's.
