the road to an offbeat path that led to the clubhouse.  I text mom to let her know I was there and that my car was hidden.  I could tell by the smiley faces she sent in return that she was probably bouncing in her shoes with excitement.  Once inside I let my eyes adjust to the dark hallway then I went upstairs where the rooms were.  Thankfully none of the guys were awake yet and most of them snoring helped me figure out what rooms were being used.  Just as I placed my overnight bag and purse on the bed my cell phone rang.
    “Yes mom.”
“Can you come to the house please?”
“Umm, no.  I thought you didn’t want dad to know I was here.”
“There’s somebody here that you know though.”  I could tell she was giving a fake smile over the phone.
“Be there in a minute.”  I ended the call and quietly made my way out the front of the club.  I ran across the small parking lot and almost skidded to a halt when I seen who was standing on the front porch with my mom.  She looked at me and had one eyebrow raised in question.
“Ronnie?”  I said with a confused tone.
“Hey babe,” he smiled big and quickly walked down the front steps, “I couldn’t be away from you.”  He wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me.
Mom walked up behind us, “Go back to the club house so your dad doesn’t see you.”  She looked at Ronnie then back at his bright green Kawasaki 650, “Move that thing back by her car so he doesn’t see it.”  She smiled at us then walked back inside.
I waited for Ronnie to move his motorcycle, when it zinged to life my shoulders fell.  I had no doubt that dad had heard it.  I quickened my pace and Ronnie pulled up next to me.  I told him to go around the side of the building and park behind my car.  I ran rest of the way across the parking lot and through the club house.  Betty tried to stop me but I ran past her to the back door.  Ronnie sauntered up to the door smiling big at me but I was not happy that he had shown up.
“Do you have to look so pissed off that I’m here?” he asked with his eyebrows drawn together.
“I told you that I didn’t want you here this weekend because,” I exhaled a long breath, “behind those doors are guys that are going to try and make your night hell because you are my boyfriend.  I wanted to be able to have a good time and not have to worry about any fights breaking out.”  I said and bounded up the stairs with him right behind me.
When we walked into the small room I sat down on the bed and glared at Ronnie as he looked around the room.  His eyes landed on me, a smile crept across his lips, “Don’t be mad babe, hell I’ve got big shoulders you know that I can take a lot of shit from people.  Who knows maybe I’ll want to join the club.” He lifted a shoulder and put his hands in his pockets.
I rolled my eyes and shook my head, “Not gonna happen sorry.”  I mumbled.
“So did I ruin your plans for the weekend or something?  Were you going to fuck one of the guys or what?  You’re being a little bitch.”  He said half yelling half normal.
I shook my head, “Yeah that’s totally it, why didn’t you just ride with me?  It would have saved you some fuel.”  I said in a sarcastic tone.  Before he could answer there was a light tap on the door, I got off the bed and went over and cracked the door open.
Betty smiled big at me, I opened the door wide and hugged her as she hugged me, “You ran by me like your booty was in trouble.  Everything okay?” She asked and pulled away from me.
“Yeah, I had somebody coming in the back door and didn’t think it would be too good if one of the guys had to let my boyfriend in.”
Ronnie walked up behind me and extended his hand to Betty, she looked at his hand then at me then at Ronnie.  I introduced them and waited for the awkward silence to pass.  “Well then, come downstairs so I can make you something to eat and you can tell me
