    “Okay,” she whispered. “I trust you.”
    “And I going to trust you with my heart,” Simon answered.
    Riding out the rest of the tour together, Sadie never looked back. Simon entering her life was the best thing that ever happened.

    Simon fingered the small jewelry box, lost in thought.
    With a quick knock at the door, Bobby entered the room noticing Simon’s hands. “What’s with the box, champ?” He slid his hand in his pocket, “We need to hit the road soon,” he said.
    “I’m going to ask Sadie to be my wife,” Simon grinned. “The girl stole my heart.”
    Bobby’s jaw dropped, “Kind of impulsive isn’t it? You barely know her. You can’t do that,” his voice was direct and firm. “Simon, every girl in that audience wants to believe they stand a chance. Keep her as your girlfriend if you have to. It’s one thing to have a girlfriend, but a wife could hurt your image. Hell, I’d prefer you dumped the girl and stayed single if you want the truth. It’s a sacrifice, but you’re a rising star with a promising ride. You’re next release can make or break you – do you want the odds in your favor?”
    Simon stared at his manager, “I love her, man.”
    Bobby softened his tone, and sat beside the singer. “Simon, you barely know her. Okay, I know you like her, love her even, but she’s going to get in the way. Right now you need to focus on your career, and she’s not good for it. You’re distracted, and being attached changes your rock star rebel image. You need to think this through. I can’t make any decisions for you, but I’ll be honest, she could be the stone that weighs you down. You’ve got a shot at going from big to massive, and lengthening your stay in this career. You want to be a flash in the pan, or do you want to keep soaring? The choice is yours,” Bobby said and then let himself out.
    Simon fingered the box, and then standing, shoved it in his bag. Maybe he wasn’t ready just yet; he’d have to think on it.
