most of tomorrow, but can I call you when I get up?”

“Sure, I am not working tomorrow.” I turn to open my car door but Gavin catches my arm and pulls me back. I spin to face him just as he bends and plants a tender kiss on my lips.

“I look forward to talking to you.” Gavin says as he opens the car door for me to get in.

Once in my car, Gavin nods his head and winks before turning and heading to his. I pull away with thoughts of a new man in my life. It has been a very long time since I have felt this way about someone. Not since Aiden. The others, well, they were there to pass the time, to fill a void. It never really worked but the drugs kept me so out of it I never knew any different.

    CHAPTER 5

    One month later

I pull up outside the small house Gavin was renting and park. We have been hanging out between his and my work shifts for a month now and our relationship has progressed rapidly. When Gavin has his rotating four days off I hang out with him at his home or we go out to dinner or a movie. It surprises me how comfortable we are with each other,  regardless of the difference in age. I find that the more time I spend with him, the less time I want to spend with friends drinking and partying.

Today, I am helping Gavin move. His lease is up and he’s moving to an apartment across town. Dressed in a tank top, short shorts and a pair of flip flops, I head inside to help him finish packing and cleaning.

"What all do you have left?" I ask when I find him in the dining room.

"Do you mind vacuuming while I take the rest of this stuff out to the Jeep?"

"Sure" I answer grabbing the vacuum.

I am almost finished with the bedrooms when I feel Gavin sneak in behind me. He sweeps my hair off my shoulder as he wraps his arm around my waist; pulls me back against his warm, solid body and nibbles at the nape of my neck.

I drop the vacuum and curl my arm behind me to grip the back of his head and turn to kiss him.

"You know I can't vacuum if you distract me like this" I look deep into his eyes and run my tongue across his bottom lip.

"Seeing you here all sweaty in these clothes...I don't care if the floor ever gets done" he states as he runs his hand up my stomach to cup my breast.

I emit a low groan as the heat of his body penetrates to my core. "Let's just hurry up and get this done. The way we are going we will never finish the house. Plus, I can't wait to see your new place.

"Damn, you just don't know how sexy you are. You're killing me ." He groans and nips my earlobe sending more sparks to my pussy.

"I love this apartment Gavin" I squeal excitedly coming out of the master bathroom to find him in the bedroom sorting through clothes. "The shower curtain is up and I have everything I can think of put where it belongs. What's next? How about this box here?" I ask grabbing a box off the floor by the bathroom door.

I open the box to find a mess of police issue items. "Oh hell yeah!" I squeal again, "this box looks promising."

Tilting my head to the side, I bat my eyes feigning innocence and hold up a pair of handcuffs.

"Oh Mr. Police Officer, what a big baton you have. Please don't beat me with it." I barely get out through my giggles.

"I think I can find something to do with those cuffs, Jordan." He growls at me and quickly makes it over to the bed in a split second. I squeal as he grabs my ankle and pulls me across the bed.

"I'll show you what I can do with those cuffs and my baton if you don't behave."

"Please sir, I'm innocent." I bat my eyes again.

Gavin flips me on the bed and before I know what’s happening my hands are above my head cuffed around the iron bars of the headboard.

"Now that I have you secured, I'm gonna show you how a real man uses his baton." Gavin’s voice is a low growl and as he maneuvers his body to wedge between my
