and gave her a hug. “I’ll see you next week with the new products. If you need any more just let me know so I can order them in. They come express, so you wouldn’t have to wait too long for them.”
“I’ll call you if I need any more, and I’ll see you next Monday. Be good!”
“I always am,” Skylar said, laughing as she was heading out the store.
Once she placed the posters around the shop where she wanted them and placed the flyers near the register, she grabbed her stuff from the back and walked to her car. Once inside she clicked on her seatbelt, reversed out and headed home. She had to jump on the Internet when she got home to find the next top-selling products, read up on them and get them sent out for next week. Then once she finished that, she had to think of what to wear tonight.
She stopped telling herself that it wasn’t a date and just two friends going to see a movie. Maybe she should call Chantal, to help her pick something to wear. She decided she’d wait until she got home and ring her after she went online to do her next orders.

Nate arrived home from his brother’s place several hours later. He grabbed something to drink and sat on his couch. He still couldn’t think who would follow him, and he didn’t even know anyone that owned that kind of car. While contemplating what to do next, Dom knocked and walked in.
“Hey Nate, you decent?” he called from the foyer.
“Yeah, come on in,” he said.
Once inside, Dom first heading to the kitchen so he could grab a beer from the fridge. While opening the beer, he moved to sit across from Nate. “So I was thinking of heading to Joey’s tonight. They have this new band playing and they sound pretty good, you interested?” Dom asked.
“Sorry, man, I have plans tonight, maybe next time.”
“Is Tracey coming over? That is one fine lady, but I prefer blondes.”
Smiling at that, Nate replied, “No, you just prefer Chantal. When are you going to ask her out on a date and get serious, man?”
“Of course I prefer her, what isn’t there to like about her? She’s perfect in every way, but we’re only friends,” Dom answered with a grin.
God, he was stupid. If only those two actually sat down together and told each other how they felt. Maybe he needed to help these two out. He smiled at the thought.
“What’s so funny?” Dom asked, frowning.
“Don’t worry, it’s nothing about you.” He knew that would shut him up.
“So what are your plans tonight, if you’re not seeing Tracey?”
“If you must know, I asked Skylar out to the movies,” Nate answered with a smile.
“Wow, really? I can’t believe you actually asked someone out, that doesn’t relate to just sex.”
“Funny, I don’t need to ask someone out for sex. I just call one of the girls if I just want that, but that’s not what this is about anyway. There’s something about her that draws me to her, but I don’t know what it is. I really want to get to know her. Is that so hard to believe?” He frowned at Dom. He couldn’t explain what he felt towards her to himself, let alone Dom.
“Well, you beat me to it; I was going to do it next week.” Dom said in a sarcastic, joking tone.
Nate hoped he was joking but to be sure he asked, “Why would you do that? You can’t think past Chantal.”
“Well, a man’s got to have options,” Dom laughed.
“You can just think of Chantal, or one of your little groupies,” Nate growled. He didn’t want to see or think of Dom with Skylar at all.
Dom answered with his hands up. “Wow, man. I was only pulling your leg. I knew you would go after Skylar. That’s why I didn’t do anything.”
That calmed him down a bit. He couldn’t think of anyone being with her but him.
“So what time are you two going?”
“We’re meeting at her place at seven.”
“Well, keep a
