Tan’s fingers from her dripping wet vagina. “Like I said, fuckin’ Trip ,” the woman retorted.
“Sit,” said Tan while patting the spot on the sofa beside her.  “Sit? What am I, your dog now?” the woman replied sarcastically.
“Let’s start over from the door, okay? Hi To’Wanda, how was your day today?” Tan spoke to her roommate and lover with scripted sarcasm.
“Bitch please I ain’t beat. I’m not your mother nor your kingpin ass father, so don’t run that bullshit on me. Fuck I look like?”
“You too sexy to have all that attitude.” Tan said as she placed her hand on To’Wanda’s thigh while looking in her eyes.”
“Don’t try to patronize me.” To’Wanda shot back as she removed Tan’s hand.
“I got your patronize. ” Tan looked up seductively.
To’Wanda smiled, then picked up a pillow and playfully swung it at Tan’s head. “You so silly.”
    They both laughed.
“Take a seat, ma.” Tan stated and patted the spot next to her on the sofa.
To’Wanda took a seat next to Tan “Anyway, how is our daddy doin’? And how did the conversation go?” To’Wanda was referring to the conversation Tan was supposed to have with her father on her way home.
    “ Our daddy?”
“Oh, he still don’t know I’m ‘bout to be his new daughter-in-law one day?” To’Wanda asked, not expecting a reply. When no response came, she changed the subject back to the phone call and asked, “Did you call?”
“Yes, I did and it went well. I told him about Loon and how I think he’s tryna fuck me outta my money. I don’t doubt he got robbed, but that shit ain’t adding up. He said they came up in the room and robbed him and Jo-Jo and then they took him to his house and made him give up the nine keys I fronted him.” Tan looked over at her girlfriend who had a ‘he may be telling the truth’ look in her eyes.
“At the Sheraton? Hell naw! All rooms are inside and you have to pass through the lobby to get to and from the rooms. Picture this—two muthafuckas with ski masks ushering Loon and Jo-Jo through the lobby of the Sheraton Suites at gunpoint!”
Now To’Wanda was starting to get the picture.
“That muthafucka’s tryna come up on some free birds. He thinks shit’s sweet over here. But I got a pie baked for that fat ass though.” Tan spat with venom in her voice. Her Spanish accent was coming to the surface, something that happened whenever she was pissed off. If Loon wasn’t pushing so much dope so fast, she would’ve been cut his ass off. But that fat ass nigga was moving keys in record time!
“Calm down, calm down. We’ll handle it,” To’Wanda spoke in a soothing tone as she ran her fingers through Tan’s silky curls.
“I also told Papa I’mma little low on funds and that I needed a loan.”
“Low on funds? Hardly that!” To’Wanda replied, gesturing for the briefcase on the table.
Tan slid it to her and watched her open it.
“How much?” To’Wanda asked, staring at the stacks of one hundred dollar bills staring back at her.
    “Two-fifty.”
“Did you get to see everybody?”
“Everybody except Carlos. I’ll see him tomorrow,” Tan replied while yawning. “Oh yeah, Papa says he has another twenty kilos for us. The drop will be in the same spot as usual.”
To’Wanda whistled. “Twenty more, huh?” She looked sideways at Tan. “Did you have to beg for that?”
“Nah, just put my ‘baby’ voice on him. Can’t resist when I do that.”
“Neither can I.” To’Wanda stated seductively as she closed the briefcase and slid closer to Tan. To’Wanda stood up, hiked up her short skirt and straddled Tan’s lap with the precision of a hungry panther. Tan normally hated it when To’Wanda was the aggressor because that was her role. She reveled in being the head of the house—she wore the pants in this relationship. However, at that moment, Tan was just as hungry and didn’t mind To’Wanda’s advances. As To’Wanda nibbled on her
