take care of it now, but I guess the thoughts of me sliding my hardness into that pussyââ
âJaylin, please. I think it is so tacky for two people to sit on the phone and indulge in such conversation. Besides, Iâm too mad at you to get wet. And, too darn sleepy.â
I was tired, too, and yawned again. âAll right, Miss Tacky. Get some sleep, and Iâll call you later to let you know how things went.â
âDonât forget. And, before you go to bed, I was thinking about making love to you when you called. My insides stay moist whenever I think of you, and itâs not the dirty talk that turns me on, but the man himself that does.â
âThatâs my girl.â I smiled. I blew Nokea a kiss over the phone, and she returned the love. I felt so much better and pulled the covers over my head so I could get some rest. Hopefully, Iâd be able to see my family soon.

This hospital was driving me nuts! How in the hell was I supposed to get any rest if the nurses kept running in throughout the night, poking at me? Iâd had enough, and when I saw this nurse come in with several glass tubes in her hands, I looked at her like she was crazy.
âWhat now?â I asked.
âI need to take some more blood from you.â
âLike hell. Iâve given enough blood already. You need to go find blood elsewhere, because you wonât get anymore from me.â
âPlease, Ms. Davenport. This is the last time. Your doctor gave the orderââ
âI donât give a ratâs ass what my doctor said. Iâm going to make a suggestion. You take blood from him and not from me. So, howâs thatâhis blood for my blood?â
The nurse placed the tubes in her pocket and walked out. All the mess they were doing was totally unnecessary. I knew that the more tests they ran on me, the more money the hospital made. I was so anxious to get out, and since Frick hadnât called me back yet, I reached for the phone to call him. Finally, he answered.
âThatâs right. Kick a sista when sheâs down,â I joked.
He laughed. âFeliciaaaa, I was just getting ready to call you.â
âSure you were. But, now that I have you on the phone, did you get my messages yesterday?â
âYes, I did. And I have to be very up front and honest with you. I canât take your case, hun. Iâm sorry. Itâs too risky.â
âRisky? How is your defending me a risk?â
âFelicia, you know that Jaylinâs been my client since ... forever. Iâve already taken care of some matters for him pertaining to this case, and itâs not in my best interest to assist both parties.â
âMr. Frick, do you have any idea what youâre up against? The man who you intend to defend severely assaulted me, nearly tried to kill me, and almost left me for dead. If the prosecutor takes this case, Jaylin will go to jail for a very long time. There will be nothing that you can say, or nothing that all the money he has can buy him out of.â
âFelicia, I wouldnât be so sure of that. Either way, heâs not going to be my client and neither will you. As of today, Iâm removing myself, and Iâd be happy to recommend another attorney who might be able to help.â
âDoes Jaylin know this yet?â
âIâd rather not say.â
âWill you be recommending someone else for him, too?â
âCanât say.â
âThen what can you say to me, Mr. Frick? Other than âsorry, Felicia. You pay me big dollars, but now I canât help your black ass out of this situationâ? I guess Jaylinâs dollars go a longer way than mine, huh?â
âThis has nothing to do with money.â
âLike hell! Thatâs such bullshit, and you know it! You will regretââ
âFelicia, I wonât stand for your verbal abuse. I will have Mr. Glasgow call you shortly.
