her. I’d have to calm the fuck down or end up in serious trouble.
“I’m sorry, sugar. I…just.” I looked at my woman, eyes full of contrition. I really did feel like an ass. I was still territorial where she was concerned but needed to turn the jealousy down a notch.
“He’s just worried you’ll find me a better model,” he said with a wink.
“I don’t think that’s possible, Shane,” she said putting her hand in mine possessively.
Shane smiled at both of us. “That’s what I had hoped to hear. Welcome to the family, Ana.” Shane smacked my shoulder. “Now that I’ve met my future sister, I’ve got to go. Trust me, have dinner ready tomorrow for a big surprise.”
“Okay, Shane.”
“It was nice to meet you, Shane.”
“Trust me, Ana. The pleasure was all mine,” he said before walking out the front door and jumping on his Harley. The engine revved hard before he took off
“Thanks, love,” I said hugging her tight.
“There’s no thanks. Your eyes call to me, William.”
“Everything about you calls to me. I love you so much.”
“I love you, too. So I’ll forgive you for not telling me you had a twin brother.”
“I’m sorry. It’s just I was afraid he’d steal you away from me.”
“Does he normally steal girls from you?”
“No, but with you, I didn’t want to take the chance.”
“Okay, now that meeting your brother is over, let’s go get this thing off and see the damage.”
“It’ll be fine, my love.”

The cast came off an hour later, and my lovely woman was feeling uncomfortable. I loved her. There was no reason for her to be ashamed of the fact that her arm was slightly thinner than her other. “Ana, please. It’s not that big of a deal. Soon they’ll be the same size, and you won’t be able to see the scarring.”
“Yeah, right, this scar is massive. There’s no way it’s going to fade easily.”
“Hey, we can put some Neosporin on the bad boy.”
“Or you can use Mederma for scars if you want when the time comes,” the doctor offered. “But truly, Ana. It’s not that bad. If I were you, I’d agree with your fiancé. He doesn’t look like a man bothered by a small scar on the woman he loves.”
She smiled and bit her lip. “I guess you’re right. Thanks.”
“You let the doctor tell you you’re beautiful, but when I say it, you don’t believe me.”
“Trust me, Mr. Cline, all women are the same. When it’s from somebody that doesn’t have to placate her, she can believe them.”
“Well, like he said, sugar, you’re perfect to me.” The drive back to the house was actually a relief. I knew it could still be possible that there was a lookout, but I didn’t care. In a few days, she’d be my wife, and I wouldn’t let any stop me from making her mine.

The following night we were having dinner at my house when we all got a shocker. My parents and Shane walked in with a clearly three-month pregnant woman.
“Will, Ana, I’d like you to meet my wife, Sonya.” He held her to his side and said, “Sonya, this is my twin William and his unlucky fiancée.”
“I beg to differ,” Ana responded. It seemed my parents already knew all about the situation but decided not to mention it to me.
“Thanks, sugar,” I said kissing her cheek.
I observed them throughout the night. My brother was acting like she was perfection, and it was a surprise because he’d been the I’m-not-getting-married-or-having-kids-type. My brother owned a motorcycle shop and liked to live life dangerously. A woman with a baby wasn’t his thing, but she seemed sweet as pie, and Shane looked fucking giddy the entire night. I’d have to get the story from him another time.
Chapter 9
When she walked down the stairs, I damn near fell out in awe. She looked so perfect with her long dark hair lifted up into some fancy do with bits of it hanging softly on the sides of her face. Her eyes sparkled for me, and I felt like a king.
